I bought a pocket 45x one myself and I`m sure this will do for trich`s

If you think 45x isn`t going to be enough heres the full link for the website and just buy a higher magnification one. I bet my one will work but google is your best friend

Read reviews for items on the site if you want to buy a different one but the reviews are accurate if you read say 3 :)

You can buy old high school high power microscopes for like $30 on ebay. They go from 5x to 100x+

Yeah 45x should work just fine. It might even be better than the higher ones like 60x, 100x coz too much zoom will give you a narrow view. I like a broad/wide view so it's easy to estimate the % (cloudy/amber).

BTW, I'm just pertaining to the mini pocket microscopes, and not the USB digital ones.

you can get 30+x pocket magnifiers with leds for viewing jewerly for cheap. If you have a steady hand and a good camera with a micro setting, you can put the magnifier in front of the camera lense and get real good images. And further magnify them on your comp.
