Best autos for patios?

Looking to see some auto strain recommendations. Aside from my indoor id like to do 2-4 autos on the back patio in the spring once night temps stay consistently above a certain temp.

What I’m looking for in autos is pretty much what I’d expect out of one of my photos with the exception of staying small. Potency, smell, bag appeal and lastly production. I don’t make money off my stuff it’s all for personal so I’m not looking to cash in with monsters but I also don’t want to end up with half a zip dry weight either lol. Thanks y’all!

Autos have gotten a lot better over the last 10 years. I'm interested in what does well outside also. I'd check out memphisto, They seem to be the autokings.

Thats exactly why I want to run 2-4 of them on the patio. They’ve definitely come a long way. But there’s still some junk autos out there and I’ve never dabbled in the auto world.

Where I’m from it does tend to rain a lot sometimes especially in the spring time. Also the nights here tend to run on the cooler side. So whatever I get has to be pretty resistant to mold, bud rot and can’t be a temp queen. I’ll check out Memohisto’s gear.

I've tried autos 2x outdoors..total failure both times. The humidity gets 70-90% in the summer and temps hit a hundo. Not ideal condition for flowering plants. They look great but mold kills em

That was 6-7 years ago.. they've improve alot but not sure they are outdoor ready.

If You are going to run autos run Dutch Passion , very uniform , EASY to grow , best yielding and nice array of types I got 190 gr off an Auto Mazar and 165 gr off a Think Different Auto , best I have done, both were stoney enough ( probably 16-18% THC) , I bought a 5 pack of Kalashnikova Purple Mazar auto and everyone liked it , pretty stoney for an auto and all 5 had dark purple buds that turned near black in the cure. . got about 3 zips per plant off all 5. JMO .

This thread is useless unless you've actually grown autos outdoors and if ya have... What state-location.

Btw.. saying something is easy to grow is absurd.. all strains are easy to grow unless you're a rookie.

I started mine in May. They say to time the flowering with the longest days of the year (June 21st USA) to increase yields. Where I'm at August is the hot, humid month. I think heat is the biggest challenge an outdoor grower faces. Cool thing about autos is you can start them after the danger of frost has passed an pull them hopefully before a heat wave. A little bit of luck a little bit of planning so the sun isn't directly on them during the hottest part of the day.

I think that’s what I am going to try, is an early run in the spring when frost isn’t a threat anymore. But then again we are known for our spring rain too lol.

I do a couple autos every year in the backyard in 5gal cloth pots. I typically mix'em in with the tomato garden and put them in the ground so they don't dry out so fast but can be moved quickly if needed. It's hot and dry where I live and never had a problem even with weeks long of 100F. I start them inside till they get 6-8" tall then move them outside usually June 1st and done by mid-Sept. The best ones for me have always been Mephisto hands down. I did Double Grape and Alien v Triangle last summer. They typically stay pretty short/bushy but that AVT was trying to outgrow my tomatoes lol. The final product(5oz) was outstanding in all categories. I think the key with autos is to start directly in its final container and don't train/mess with the plant. You want them to veg as quickly as possible.

This stuff works wonders on the bugs!
