BEST AUTOFLOWER SEEDBANKS?

Interesting thread. I appreciate the info that everyone's sharing.

I've been growing since 2021 and have done about a dozen grows, starting with autos but have done a few photos and would like to do an auto grow. I'm familiar with many of the companies listed here but what I've never been able to figure out is why Mephisto lists the yield for their plants to be so low compared to other growers.

Good example - Mephisto 4 Assed Monkey is listed to yield 60-90 grams whereas a Gorilla Glue-based plant from Nirvana or 2Fast4Buds will have indoor yields in the 400-600 gm per square meter range.

Are Mephisto yields, generally speaking, more modest than those of other growers?
I have seen Mephisto to be more high high quality based , but I’ve also some large yields . I think they keep things more realistic , vs the others you mentioned - list that 1 time someone had insane results , with a perfect grow , co2 and everything spot on .

that being said , speedrun doesn’t BS on their yields at all , and the quality is there also . They even go as far as to tell you what size pot to grow in , to reach their potential.

im pretty sure I’ll be right close to a pound off one of my boss battles this grow , and in a 9 gallon fabric pot .

fastbuds exaggerates massively in my opinion and their genetics are so random / all over the place , 1 out of 20 might come close to what they claim . At least from my experience ,

Thanks for the info.

For whatever reason, over the past couple of years, I've had the impression that Mephisto sells high quality products. I like the data-rich sites that some of the other vendors have but, between statements from growers, such as yourself, and the info on their site, they come across as being…forthright.

Re. yields from other vendors - I'm not uncomfortable with the "400-600 gm/m2" yield values because, well, I generally exceed them. I do feed my plants a lot of light (at least 1kµmol) but, even without adding CO2, I "always" end up with very good results. Note the use of quotes for always—for my first grow in 2024, I managed to "poison" my photoperiod plant by adding too much H2O2 to the water in the humidifier (to stop algae) and ended up referring to it as my "Claus von Bulow" grow. :-(

Re. Speedrun - I wasn't familiar with them. I'll definitely check them out.

Re. Fastbuds - yeh, can't afford uneven quality. Unlike some of us (cough coug ;-) ) I only have room for a 2' x 4' tent and I, as much as I've tried, I can only fit one plant in my tent. I go through the process of germinating three seeds and then trying to find the keeper but I've found that to be hit and miss.
