What would be the best and reliable fan setup for a 5x5 grow tent?

Im torn btw going with either :

- 2 or 3 s6 for top cannopy and a 12'' desk fan or a lasko tower fan for mid and bottom
- A 16'' hurricane wall fan with the desk or tower fan
- 3 or 4 clip on fan with the desk or tower fan

What would be the option from your experience help me decide please

I run one 8” intake fan, two 8” exhaust fans ( each with carbon filters, and a 12 inch oscillating desk fan. I’m in a 6.5x6.5x7 tent, so 6 “ would probably work for you. You want the intake/exhaust fans to be able to completely replace the air in the tent in about 5 minutes.

Do you leave your exhaust fan running non stop, or have them turn on every now and then for long enough to replace the air?

My tents are 5x5 if you want an example (Grow journal). Can’t say I have the best setup, but it does what I need it to do. Flower tent is a 8” fan/filter on a controller, with 3 clip fans in the tent - 1 rotates and blows across canopy level. Ventilation for the tent is passive, and exhausts into another part of the basement. Veg tent is a 6” fan and filter, runs full time at full strength.

I already have a T8 for exhaust fan and a T6 for intake and i have 1x 12'' desk fan 1x floor fan and 1x box fan i just wanted to change my fans to get air moving better in the tent

That could do it. What brand is the oscillating fan?

You'd be better off using a few cheap, reliable, stationary fans rather than an oscillating fan. Most of the consumer-priced oscillating fans are junk as far as construction and longevity; they don't use bearings for the oscillating mechanism, so the click of death is inevitable.

Im wondering if i should go with an ac infinity s9 ( i just found some online ) and a desk fan 12'' or would it be better with 2 or 3 clip on fan with the desk fan for the bottom of the cannopy? Whats your setup?

The oscillating fan is from spider farmer.
I just saw mars hydro is selling 2x 6'' for 84$ and i just found some place that is selling the s9 but for 99$ thats pricy for a 9'' fan to me but AC infinity now offer a 5 year warranty and mars hydro offer 1 year warranty should i go with 2x 6'' or 1x s9 what would you do?

Got them in any tent I've set up 5x4 or bigger.
Most of them are in 4x8s
They last a long time and are cheap to replace when needed

Alot of people who used the hurricane 16'' tend to say you get wind burn in a 4x4 or 5x5 with 16'' fans i almost made my mind ill either go with 2x 6'' clip on oscillating fan or 4x 6'' non oscillating Ac infinity offer a 5 years warranty since 1st july and Mars hydro offer a 1 year warranty if the mars hydro fans can last 1 year with the warranty ill be happy for the price same thing for Ac infinity

I've never had windburn, been growing a long time, but they're not getting hit from the sides. It's from above.
Like I say, set them up In many grows.

Anyway, if your set on oscillating clip ons.
Go with AC infinity!!
Mars hydro warranty isn't worth the paper it's not printed on.
AC infinity will honour their warranty and have improved their design and not only that they replaced all generation 1 fans with generation 2 for free.
Even to me who didn't have proof of purchase.
And they covered the shipping to the UK and they did that world wide to anyone who had a generation 1 fan, even if it wasn't faulty.
I can't praise them enough for customer service.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone complaining about their customer service

Thanks for the info bro. So your only using 1x 16'' fan + the intake/exhaust fans for a 5x5 tent?

and i just looked at this video :
and yea mars hydro seem to be cheap AC infinity is better quality and the fact you have 10 speed on AC fan is pretty neat but the oscillating will eventually fail but you can still use em as stationnary clip on fan and im pretty sure the motor last forever

I use one 16 wall mounted fan , mounted central to the ceiling of several 8x4s.
I have extractors, i don't use intakes.

In my veg tents which are 4x4s and 2mx1m loft tents due to shape of rooms (sloped ceilings)
There's less height so I use 2x 6" ac infinity oscillating fans.

I used to use various cheap ones, then went with monkey fans, but they didn't last long.
Then I tried some nice little ones after trying one.. got 8 of them and they all failed between 3 and 6 month. 2 of them physically blew up .

That's when I thought I'd pay the considerable amount more for ac infinity.
The gen 1 fan stopped oscillating after maybe 9 month. Then a good lad on here told me about the recall and replace scheme.
So I got a new gen 2 one and got to keep the gen1 one , which is still working , just doesn't oscillate.
That was a common problem which is why they redesigned them.
Obviously they are trying to build a brand and solid reputation, so they did a full recall and replace. Must of cost them a lot , but they've stormed the industry and must have a massive market share so they can afford it.
