Best 600w HPS Value

Its been like 10 month since I changed my bulb, Im looking to get a new 600w HPS but dont want to pay an arm and a leg. Right now I have a hortilx, the list price was $124.95 I think that was too expensive. Any suggestions? The lady at the grow shop said I have to have a special bulb IDK. I have a lumatex ballist

digilux will burn brighter and cooler with that lumatek you got, and last longer horti dont know shit about digis yet if you order a digilux off e.bay it will co$t about 80 buks shipped. google hortilux vs digilix if you dont believe me hortis are awesome but only with mag. ballasts

I personally like the Lumatek high PAR HPS bulbs and they are about half the price of the hortilux.

Id change grow stores because the lady is bull shitting you... special bulb my ass! Iv used digilux, lumatec, hortilux, grolux, and oshio... I liked them all except the grolux.

79.95 for a 600 watt Digilux and free shipping. I just replaced a generic HPS bulb and ballast with a Digilux bulb and Nextgen ballast, and my tent is about 7 degrees cooler.

Nothing special, except the medicine.

GE makes em for about 25 bux but the wholesaler in my town has to order the 600s in.

I think what the girl at the hydro store said is I need a digital bulb with that ballast, I always thought a bulb was a bulb,I dont understand the digital thing

i checked the review on amazon dude gave a review and said digilux are check he had 2 blow within a few weeks

went with the lumetek, around 80 bucks with shipping. good reviews on amazon

Digital ballasts have a faster cycle or hertz rate than magnetic ballasts. Hortilux and Lumatek are very compatible these days. The early problem was caused by how the bulb was initially fired. The new soft start technology Lumatek uses along with a few simple updates by Hortilux has addressed this. I love the Lumatek/Hortilux combo, been running the same 600 bulb for over a year and still growing strong. www.bulkhydro.com has them for like 85 bucks and free shipping...
