Rush made up a bunch of shit saying obama was doing coke and marijuana in college. Laurence's rebuttal is that its not historically accurate, technically Obama did this in high school, and that rush is a drug addict himself....

That is beside the point...

The fact is...Obama did drugs...and continues to have people arrested and their lives ruined for these drugs when infact he does have the power to end the drug war WITHOUT congress...

I spy with my little eye not one but TWO LYING HYPOCRITES!

Rush is not only lying hypocrite here....Obama is the other one.

obama wrote in his book that he smoked weed and used "a little blow" in college. how is rush lying?

also, being a recovering drug addict makes rush MORE of an authority on the subject, not less. people who never used drugs or booze will tell you all kinds of wacky shit about what they do. a recovering addict will generally give you the straight poop.

if i wanted to know about heroin and opiate addiction i would NOT ask chris mathews, i would ask iggy pop.

Lol @ a recovering addict will generally give you the straight poop....

Drugs aren't bad. It's just the people that can't use them in moderation....

a recovering addict is one of the best sources for firsthand information about drugs, booze and other addictions. feeling smugly superior to those who are dealing with their problems is just wrong. wronger than wrong, its a dick move.

you gonna laugh at cripples, re-arrange the furniture in blind people's houses, and superglue down the soap in obsessive compulsive people's bathrooms?

High school, not college.

Drug addicts are not "experts" on anything except taking drugs - they know precious little about the clinical effects of the drugs they are taking. EX-addicts are listend to as though they are experts on their drug of choice and in most cases all they are able to tell us is how to FAIL at using drugs.

after so many years of "experts" explaining the "clinical effects" of reefer i find the experts to be sorely misinformed. that same could be said of booze, opiates, mescaline, tobacco, and jenkem.

growing up in a mormon household for most of my teen years, and a my mom being a registered nurse, i got all the "clinical" information you could imagine about all these evil drugs, and it was all wrong. 100% wrong.

when i lit out on my own i threw on my lab coat, grabbed my bunsen burner and "experimented" with a shitload of drugs. all the crap i was told was bullshit. the only people who had told me the truth were my pot smoking uncle, my hard drinking grandpappy and the recovering addicts i met along the way.

Worst ex-addicts are the ones that went to AA and ended up being drug counselors
I cannot think of anything worse than putting AA cult followers in positions of power in regards to drug treatment

AA has a success rate that is the same as not going to treatment at all, and yet they have infiltrated our courts and hospitals and treatment centers
And they are a Cult

When clinical folk tell me that meth elevates heart rates, that pot has certain effects upon certain receptors, I tend to believe them. No one is talking about the broad "bad fer yah" results.

I once went to a some "drugs are bad for you and here is an alcoholic to tell you about it", the guy described his father's alcohol ending by saying that he "vomited up his liver for months before he died". Drug folk are the ones that will tell you that LSD resides in the spinal column, heroin addicts have a host of myths they tell each other. No, I don't think many of them know much except as I said, how to fail at using drugs.

That is a pretty funny image. Thanks.
