Hi,

i have some problems with root rot in my aeroflo system and hydroguard is not available in my country. I found on Amazon something similar it is called bactorrs13 from tnc.

Can I use the powder straight out of the bag in my tank or do I have to make a tea first?

yes you dont need to brew a tea to use bennies in hydro

but they need some support to grow in, some kind of biofilter

with aeroflos system you can use a basket pot with a tights full of coco+your bennies in it.
just put it in a hole instead of a plant, hangin in the water

excuse my english

I tried the sterile way with bleach but is more work because you have to keep adding bleach every 2-3 days and you still need a chiller but with bennies this all becomes superfluous

The nice thing about brewing tea is it will multiply the bacteria making the bag go farther.

instead of BactorrS13 i would give MycorrHydro a try.
from the same compnay.
the Bactorr is missing the fungi and the mycorr contains most of the batorr bacteria strains.
there is doasge recommendation for both products on their webiste btw.

lets us know how it worked out.
basically these TNC prducts are quite good, i use them too.

oh and i would say its a bit like tea out of the bag, it starts to foam quite quickly even without adding anything else, just steer well.
you can use it for brewing tea too of course.
