Bending away from light F** Up

Hi All! First post hope someone can advise. Growing in cabinet 2x3x6 400 watt.
Plant 3 weeks in to budding, starting to get some nice bud sites but tops were close to light and starting to burn so I decided to wrap some wire around top stem and start bending horizontal to get away from light. At first this seemed to work flowers started popping up along the stem then a few days later flowers started to shrivel.
I noticed where I bent wire there was a pretty heavy-duty kink in the stem, think I might have cut of the tops supply of life juices. I loosened up wire and tried to straighten out kink but I fear it’s too late. Should I cut off top of plant? The part just above the kink? Or just let it die? I am thinking cutting top off will slow budding a little bit as plant recovers from shock but plant should bounce back with more buds on lower branches...... Right? Any thought or past experience on this.... thanks

well even if your stem snapped you can acutally tape it back together and it will recover, however this wont be easy for you cuz you prolly dont have enough room to strainghten it at tape it. show so pics if u can, how much upward grow space do you available in your box? u may have to upgrade your box ASAP and tape the stem upright again.

Sorry can’t send pic right now. Can’t upgrade to bigger box this was biggest available no other space alt’s available right now. Storage cabinet about 6 feet tall.. Tops getting really close to light and it is hot up there can’t hold hand under light for more then a few seconds. Shit plants were 3 weeks old when put on 12/12 and 2.5 feet tall didn’t think they would grow another 3 feet after 12/12 started, plants not stretching either lots of leaves and branches with buds starting. Plant is white indicia.
Looking closer maybe it is the light that is killing the top, noticed a side branch well below kink part that has shot up towards light maybe 6-10 inches away and it is getting crispy and dieing… Am I screwed? Any ideas?

Instead of using wire use string or yarn... it's less invasive to the plant. I found that bending over my taler plants made the middle flowers grow larger. More light. If your room is 6 foot tall try starting your plants at 1.5 feet instead of 2.5 feet. Your yield will be a little lower but you won't have the height issue...another suggestion is to top all the highest branches to promote bushing. This way your plants will grow lower and not be ceceptable to heat damage. Try sea of green method! It works for me.

Thanks, I took string and pulled plants down and to side walls away from light going to get piece of glass for light hope that will cut down on some heat, any side branches that head to close will also be pulled back and down with string. First time growing with this set up guess this grow will be to work out any bugs hopefully I will get enough herb to last until next round is finished. Thanks for input

yea man should have flowered at 5 inches unstead of 2.5 feet, they will triple so 2.5 * 3 = atleast 5 feet of plant if not more
