Best beginners advice I can give is don't grow autos.going into the flowering stage. need recomendations on hours and strength on grow light and humidity for autoflowers
Why not?Best beginners advice I can give is don't grow autos.
On average photos definately produce better quality bud than autos. Mostly because autos have a poor leaf to bud ratio and that effects the taste of the smoke. Why not?
If you know what you're doing, and have quality genetics, autos are no different than photos in final product.
If you have a lack of knowledge and skill then growing autos can be challenging and frustrating, but it can make you a better grower.
I've had autos that didn't grow much leaf at all... I've had some that were like werewolves. Lol. It all boils down to genetics. I could agree that a worked photoperiod line would be say, more genetically stable. But I wouldn't go as far as saying all photoperiod plants are better than autos. Or they all have a high leaf to bud ratio in general. On average photos definately produce better quality bud than autos. Why would a beginner grower want something that is challenging and frustrating?
I've never seen an auto with a good leaf to bud ratio. Would like to know what genetics they are if they exist and would be cool to see one if you have a pic. I grew autos for the first couple of years and I know that you can defiantly get some killer bud from them. But generally speaking the genetics are very unreliable and after growing photos and seeing the difference there's no chance I'm turning back. I wish that I had started growing photos a lot sooner because the growing and smoking experience is so much better. It takes about 4 or 5 runs to get the best out of a strain and when you are running clones you can refine how you grow the cultivar. Autos are a one shot hit or miss, it's just not the same.I've had autos that didn't grow much leaf at all... I've had some that were like werewolves. Lol. It all boils down to genetics. A new grower would want to try something challenging and frustrating to gain experience and make them a better grower overall. Any numb nuts can follow a formula. Learning takes making mistakes. Having an actual understanding why things happen etc is what separates a good grower from someone who just grows weed.
