beginner what kind of lighting should i use

hi im new at this i have 12 seedlings all in jiffy pots in a jiffy windowsill garden . They are under a 60 watt halogen flood light my seedling a very litlle they only have seed leaves right now. I plan on getting rid of all the males. Can someone please tell me what kind of light or lights i SHOULD be using . Thanks so much in advance for the help

You need to head off and read the FAQ. That should tell you everything you need to know.

It depends on how much space you have to work with and money to work with.
if you have a small grow space then i would go with CFLs.
if you have a lot of space then go with hps and mh lights.

Well i originally wanted four in my closet. I figured half or more would be male so i wouldnt need a whole lot of space. Im using cfls now one cool white and one warm and they're in 4inche pots and a box on my dresser lol i managed to come across a light relflector that holds those tube lights. It goes to 1000w. But like i said i only really want four. So im wondering if i can use lower watt tubed instead of 1000w ...or is that still needed? I got a pretty big budget not crazy big but im willing to put in the money needed to have some good smoking buds later = ) also im wondering where i can buy some kind of plastic reflector tape to line my closet with? Sorry so many dumb questions i just really want to get this right the right way the first time around. Thanks so much for the help
