beginner needs help..Please..!!

Hey guys, I started with growing since 21st of December, am still in the veg stage but until now there's only two true leaves with new small ones coming up (but it has long time since they appeared and stay at their size.. no development in their size), the plant now is about 12-14 cm tall and am using flourescent light.. the thing is am confused.. is there something wrong with my plant??.. can I start with the flowering stage now?? PLEAAAASE HELP ME..

Welcome to RIU

You can start flowering from day one, if you so choose.

However, that might not be in your best interest.

What you need to do is show some of the fine people here a pic or two so we can see what exactly is going on.

After two weeks, an inch tall is normal depending on how and when you germinated your seed(s).

Again, show some pictures.

Its most likely slowed on the growth you can see to concentrate on root growth

soil looks like its not draining add per-lite and some holes to the bottom of the cup and check the PH

First put holes in bottom of cup. Then tape up cup so light does not hit roots and third you need more light. Two more of those bulbs will be ok and three would be killer. Also might want some air on them to help build stem. Good luck and enjoy.

Change that container to something that won't let light get to the roots and add more light.

and for its size is it good for it's age (19 days)??

Make sure there are holes on the bottom of the cup and hold off watering for about 5 days.

Thank you, am thinking of covering the container with black duct tape and adding one more bulb

even if the surface got dried out?? won't this damage the plant

wait for it to wilt then water and next time water it a day sooner next time

At the least, give it 4 days without water. They don't need water everyday. Overwatering causes the plant to stop growing because there is not enough oxygen in the soil.

Then you will end up like my plants ! Claws... let your soil dry ... thank god I recovered and got this beautiful flower

Its about 2 weeks into flowering dont really count the first week ...
