Beginner CFL Wardrobe Grow

...yeah man, that light is just a common, multi-bulb bathroom vanity fixture that can be found in any home improvement stores you have over on your side of the pond, we have Lowes and Home Depot over here but there must be some equivalent in the UK, ...another option is either a discount builders supply or a builders salvage yard where you can find some really nice deals, especially if you're not afraid to do a little tinkerin', lol.

...that one pictured is one of 4 i bought at a local discount builders supply house for $4.88USD each back about 5 or 6 years ago so even at full retail you shouldn't have to spend more that $20.00 - $25.00USD, ...i don't know what that is in pounds sterling, lol, ...or euro's either for that matter!

...if you find a builders salvage yard you can find some awesome deals on used HID fixtures and even T5's and other fluorescent fixtures, ...some might need work but working on lights is relatively easy if you have any knack at all and can follow directions and a simple wiring diagram, believe me it ain't all that complicated, lol.

...there's no telling what a dedicated stoner with an abiding need can accomplish!

That's how I grow, man.

Aero all the way. As long as you keep up maintenance and never have a power outage it is great. Look at my signature for my grow log.

Just a quick update on some progress...

made a veg room out of a bedside unit (still in progress) , just put one of the bag seeds on in there what i had on the window seal...

last too pics are of my main too girls... lights went out so had to stop work but thought id get a pic anyway...

plans are to have a 4" input fan to push fresh air into veg and flower room with it being split... and to sort out air circulation in veg room...

i think thats pretty much it...

In my experience it is better to pull then push with those fans (centrifugal blower). But that is a question to debate.

I hook up my fan to pull the air through my cool tube and then out of the tent. I have a passive (just a 4" duct running into the bottom of my tent) system that let's air freely come in.

So when the air gets sucked out of the tent fresh air flows in from the passive system in the bottom. Passive means no moving parts.

These are the fans I am talking about:

It's cool seeing an armoire being used. That was my very first grow room. Slowly I've become more and more obsessed with a great grow that I seem to upgrade every year. It's so therapeutic taking care of the girls. And then the final product... awwww

So checked on my girls this morning, the stronger girl seems to have a very slight yellow tip with a bit of brown on one of her leaves, i dont think its nute burn or over water as her coco was bone dry and on very weak nutes... think something maybe having a nibble... was doing some work around them yesterday so think it a day on disinfecting and sterilizing

just going to give them some ph'd water

also just bought these to see if there any good later on with tricomes

high man, can you post up some shots of the entire plant? ...that does look a bit like tip burn but that, in and of itself is nothing to worry about, as long as the plant looks otherwise healthy that is, lol.

...keep in mind that this is a living organism so it will sometimes show what look like signs of a problem that are essentially meaningless. ...just relax while you study and you will soon know the difference, ...you've already shown a willingness to do some of your own research and the more of it you do, the sooner you will get to the day when there won't be ANY problem you don't already know how to handle.

...until that day you keep studying and when you run into a situation you can't find answers for i promise you either me or someone else will be there to help you, ...i personally prefer to provide links rather than easy answers because there is truly a world of difference between knowing how to do a thing and knowing how to teach it and so i figure it's best to link to where i learned from, to be sure i don't forget something or get something wrong.

...so don't think me lazy if i post more links than answers, lol, it's because i want you to have ALL the information.

Wont let me edit but ill get some pictures up tomorrow there in dark
...i'm lucky that my grow space is a large closet that has a light fixture in it but when i was flowering in my tent i just used a clamp light for the same purpose and that purpose was, and is, to give me light to work in so i don't have to do my chores under the HPS.

...all you need is a green CFL and you're good to go because your plants won't notice green light so it has no effect on how the plants grow, in other words it won't cause any stress that might lead to hermaphrodites, ...i do ALL my chores under this green light about 30 minutes before the HPS kicks on and have done so for years to no ill effect and i promise you, i've accidentally left that green light on over night MANY times and also to no ill effect.

peace, bozo
