This is my first attempt to grow some marijuana. my friends have grown weed so i have a pretty good idea of how to do it but i need advice.

I'm growing my seeds indoors using the real sunlight i get at my window.

Can someone tell me the process of germination?

whats up bro...

im new to this too. but ill tell ya there is so much info on here ur in the rite spot. and not to be a dick but ur not gonna get much info with those type of questions, you gotta do the research, i know reading sucks but ur question and the q's ur gonna ask have been asked a million times on this site.

my advice do a search for germination
what kind of medium are u gonna grow in soil/hydro?
and im not sure that using natural sun light thru ur window would be a good idea. Natural sunlight is great but unless ur living in alaska during the summer or have 18-20 hours of light per day than the plant will not get enough light.
Seedlings and plants in the veggitative stage need 18 or preferably 24 hrs of light per day.

ok bro take it easy and good luck

Yes, a quick search of the GrowFaq would end you here....

Remember, study and research is the best thing you can do. I spent a year on-line reading everything I could before my first grow, and continue reading up on everything possible.

The best questions to ask on sites like this one, would be those pertaining to your up and running plants. I.E. What's this deficiency, or did I overwater, is this a mite, etc....

P.S.- Hope this site really starts you off in the great hobby that is cannabis cultivation, good luck, grow well.

The power of the sun through your window prolly won't be enough. It will sustain them there the first month, tops. Then you'll really wanna get a light on them, or even move them outside on your porch during the daylight, if possible.

If money's an issue for light, 3-4 double tube flouros would be fine for 2 plants, assuming they're female. Around $10-$15 for one double tube ballast, wired. Bulbs are like a dollar a piece. Use cool white for veg, warm white(day light) for flower.

If ur doing floros dont get white for veg u want the bluer the better. go with 6500k blue spectrum bulbs and anywhere from 3000k - 2500k red spectrum bulbs ok. for flowering. Blue for veg, red for flowering

I started with about 6X27 Watt CFL's and finished up to 2 females this way. The yield is pretty small, but after nearly 10 years without having any reefer at all it was a beautiful sight.

I am currently finishing 4 females with a 400W HPS. I put each of them into a 5 gallon Home dePot bucket. Each has about 3+ gallons of soil. The 4 plants now fill just about all of the available growing space in the closet. The tallest of them are about 48" tall. The rule of thumb is- Get them as much light as you possibly can without causing too much heat. The heat in this neck of the woods has become almost unbearably hot. Thank god it has let up somewhat and I have fired up the "Swamp Cooler" so that the highest temp the last few days has been 80F or so. Ahhhhhh.. Breathes a sigh of relief!! My best grow ever.
