damn, so these buds probably would have grown much bigger if i had kept it lower.. I'm assuming with it that high it had to cause problems for the plant during flower despite the beneficial microbes i was adding to fight root rot and help prevent lockouts..Yeah you have a 500 scale meter. So your 1200ppm is 2.4EC. Which is way too high for dwc
i wasn't going for more nutes more buds. I had just read 600 veg, ~1000 flower, and the later into flower, the higher, up to around 1200. who knows where these people had been getting their info, because they were definitely wrong. my buds did not get that big, there are just so many colas. i guess i had just been reading from someone who either didn't know what they were talking about, or someone who had a different conversation factor for their meter. crap so me not doing my research pretty much fucked my buds eh? I never noticed any burn though. the only thing i noticed, which i though to be normal, was the tips of every single leaf yellowing. i assumed this was a deficiency of nitrogen, which was normal for flowerMore nutes doesn't necessarily equate to more buds. And the later on in flower the less nutes they want. My plants are going on Day 55 and only wants 300-350ppm (.6 to .7EC for my 500 scale meter)
The plant is drinking more water than nutes.
DWC requires very little nutrients. I burn most plants that get over 600ppm in flower.

This plant maxed out around 550ppm for me in flower. Got burn when I tried to go higher. That top cola was around 2 ounces dried.
mine was just a random seed so i have no idea genetics tbh. no huge nugs, just many little ones all over the place. She's hanging right now (full plant) drying out. If you don't mind me asking on this post, though its unrelated, I would like to hear your drying process. Ive been thinking:well it could have been a deficiency. nitrogen will yellow the whole leaf. and work from the bottom of the plant up as its a mobile nutrient. excess of certain nutrients also effects the uptake of others.
as for reading that information it could be conversion rate differing. which is why everyone should use EC when they reference it. or it could of been a different style. dwc requires less nutes.
that strain is known for producing big buds and i didnt top or scrog her. but even the lower tops were the size of 12 oz coke cans.
