been having problams popping seeds lately how long is to long to wait for them to pop

i had put two seeds to soak in water for 24 hours and then moved them to paper towl and then placed on a heat mat in a tupperware tub. The first seed popped after 48 hours but the second one still haven't popped. It was a small seed mind you so i wasn't exspecting it to pop but was hoping it would. but like the title says how long should you wait util you chuck it away because it's no good thanks

I have seen seeds pop after a week+, so it depends on the seed...
But the majority will germ in the first 24-72 hrs....

All depends on the seed itself, I just cracked colombian gold x lambsbread it took 5 days for them which seem like a long time.

If mine don't pop after 3-4 days I plant it in a small pot label it and forget about it...if it does it does...if it don't it don't...g/l
