Baster / nutes - I use a turkey baster to water the plants and keep my nutes premixed in old gatorade bottles.
Tip - Either purchase a second baster to use exclusively for ph water, or, really, really, really flush out the nutes when you go from one to another. I've learned this lesson the hard way, my 'B' germies got a dose of something that was left over in the turkey baster. 2 have burned up, 3 are not having a fun time and 2 appear affected. So, I'm probably gonna loose a total of 5 of the 'B' girls. Major bummer / learning experience. A baster is only $2 bucks. dammit. Almost makes sense to have a baster associated with each nute to prevent any type of cross contamination.
UV coated paper - The plants in the box, which I lined with the UV coated paper are doing better than their siblings in the non-UV paper box, probably by a factor of 10~15%. The reflectivity of the coated paper is really nice. Just like looking into a mirror except the background is white and not the silver color of a mirror. Go check it out.
Day 4 of 12/12 - No signs yet, but I don't really expect to see anything for another week. Once I see the 'change' my plan is to increase the lighting from 12/12 to 13/11 and finally to 14/10_obviously my theory is: - The plant will not respond to the small incremental increase in the lighting time by switching back into Veg but rather use the additional light to produce more. *I'm probably wrong but there is only 1 way to find out, and I intend to have my question answered.
puff?
