Beat the eye in the sky!!

I have worked building ir gauges nearly 5 years, and know pretty much everything there is to know about IR.

I have studied the FLIR TALON and other systems and have noted there reading wavelengths to be between 3.4 and 5.1.

MYLAR will stop the penetration of IR because of its physical properties, but wont stop you getting busted. This is because of its emmisive IR signals which can be picked up.

I would encourage anybody serious about this sort of thing to buy

KAPTON FILM ASWELL.

This stuff is awesome and will stop any emmisive signals down to 0.001.

questions and comments welcome.

Herein lies a problem though. Let's say you can hide the heat sig totally using both films. Now your house has a DARK room compared to the others.

How long would it take the flir operator to figure out that BOTH (lots of sig or no sig) are indications of a grow setup..... 5 minutes, or 5 seconds?

cali wayne why dont you just get a medical card and grow with no problems.

the heat signature on a camera is dark ie the darker meaning more heat, the kapton film should be first then the mylar on top you will not see the kapton because of the mylar.
