Be gentle, and lend a hand?

:peace:This is my first post, I have been quietly reading in the background for about a month, gradually collating information and collecting equipment for a small stealth grow cab. My cab is 4'x1.5'x3'tall. I would ideally like to split it in half, and have 1 half for mother/1 veg and the other half for 1 flower plant. Do you think this is doable? have got 400w hps matched to fan matched to carbon filter for flower and was gonna go cfl for veg. Also, was thinking bubbler hydroponic as i have lots of equipment from a tropical fish setup, also have digital ph meter and nute meter, airlines, regulators and fittings on the way, as too the mesh pots, just need growing media, nutes and to make my hydroponic trays. But like the idea of a slightly larger res and an ebb and flow system, (i have enough stuff to make this also) Also, is there such a thing as spraying the roots via a nozzles for like 5 mins an hour? because i could easily lay my hands on such equipment. Sorry, either throw or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

I was thinking of using the ebb and flow in the cab, but with the cab outside to save space, Im just thinking if i have a larger amount of solution, it will stay more stable. And thank you lordjin for your rapid reply, Im in the uk so its way late here! Nice pics as well man!

400 watts is alot for 1/2 that cab especially w/ your limited height. light will take 8 inches or so as will pots & you will need to be at least 8-or more inches between the plants & the light. that leaves you w/ less than a foot for the plant. T5 floroes or a 150 watt hps might be a better option.
ps- spraying roots is called areoponics

Thanks, dude. And you're welcome... though you haven't much reason to thank me yet.

I'd say see mrmadcow's comment. He makes a lot of sense.

Yeah the hps light and filter and fan came with a job lot I bought forma friend of a friend who knew i was thinking of having a dabble, The lot only cost £20 so i dont mind not using anly of it, but i think the carbon filter might keep my house smelling smiley fresh! Also I am a skilled engineer, and have access to lots of engineering 'stuff' so, though I am a total noob at this, I have kept marine fish, and built jet engines. This looks soooooo fun though! Im thinkin we can do some cool shit. But you gotta guide me guys. Welcome on board mrmadcow!

i mean like having the plants in a mesh pot with maybe ceramic balls or somesuch, then spraying them from from below via an atomising nozzle with nutes in a root chamber for a short period of time every set period of time, nute solution then runs away back to tank. no idea if it would work, but im sure there must be evidence there for it.

Atomizing = High pressure aeroponics. Completely different game.

I use low pressure recirculating. These are the instructions that came with my system.
