BCNL Producer meets SCROG meets Grape Krush by DJ Short

Ok, I used my iPhone again. It is so convenient by the digital SLR takes much nicer photos.

You can see that some of the hairs are about to turn red. Tomorrow is the end of week 5 of flower.

Here is a shot of the canopy. It has stayed relatively even. I think on my next run ill be able to use this experience to achieve a more even less bunched canopy.

Bud shot without flash

bud shot with flash. I think it looks better with the flash.

I think my plants have a touch of nute burn. Grape Krush is known as being a light feeder and preferring a lighter nutrient environment. I've been using 80% of the manufacturer's recommended dosage. I might go even lower on tomorrow's res change. You can see it in this photo.

I'm re-posting this from a thread I started in Plants Problems section......

The history of this branch. This miserable little branch is growing off of my runt plant. I really should have killed this plant early on. All are clones from the same plant, all cut at the same time. This plant looked almost dead while the other three were sprouting roots and thriving. While my other three beauties had grown up to my screen and filled almost all of the 10 sf, this plant barely even got to the screen before I flipped to 12/12. The buds it has grown have been smaller than the others. The branch I'm about to show you was mostly under the screen and obscured. I was going to cut it off but I found that if I re-positioned it, I could put it under direct light. Now it looks like this.....

the other branches on this plant are lush and green. You can see them in the photo above. I'm almost at week 7 of flower.

What's the verdict?
p

I didn't express this clearly in my timeline. I moved it into the full light 3 weeks ago and it was looking healthy at that point. This rapid change came about under "optimal" conditions and isn't happening anywhere else on the plant. Do you have any idea why it would happen to only one branch? What does it look like could be causing it?

Is your co2 censor in a good position?

either that or it could be the producer. its made to run its nutes hot so it probably over does the co2 as well

Budbro18, thanks for stopping by! The CO2 sensor is in the factory default position, I haven't messed with it at all.

What do you mean by "run it's nutes hot"? The literature that came with the box said it is designed for 1600 PPM CO2.

well ive seen alot of people have plants die from transplanting clones into the producer and they die day 2 because they were over fed

and to run hot means the nutes labled "recommended amount" is too strong

the producer is made to run advanced right? well there nutes generally run hot and ive seen the amounts of nutes people are suggested to run and they are rather high

as well most plants dont need over 1200 ppm

and with that being said id only assume the CO2 is made to run over necessary amounts as well.

is there a co2 sensor or meter/sensor?

because it could be set to a certain level depending on how far into flowering its programed to be in.

good luck!

I'm trying not to have an expectation because I'd mostly be guessing and hoping. This is my first grow in 7 years, my first time with BCNL, my first time using DWC and CO2 and my first time with this strain. I don't know what to expect.

On my next grow, then I'll have a target and expectations.

I'm 3 days into the flush and the leaves are starting to turn yellow. Later tonight I'm going to cut some clones for the next round.

"Le Harvest.....she has arrived. Sacre bleu!"

The final shot of the canopy

Then the HPS bulbs got turned off and put away until the next time it is time to flower (estimated to be 4-5 weeks, new grow journal details to follow).

Bud shots really do look better when you turn off the HPS bulbs. The same two shots as above but just a CFL.

And now some more....

And the last one before I butcher these bitches.....

You spend so much time caring for these plants and then 10 minutes with some clippers and they look like this...

Why do we spend so much time and resources growing these things? Oh yea, bud!

3 hours later and the cupboard is bare....

The total harvest
