i am thinking about investing in either a BC northernlights bloombox or mothership for my lowryder growing. having a hard time finding any reviews on their products and i have heard rumors that they tend to run a bit hot. If anyone has any information on these products please share, i don't want to waste the $$$ if they do not work as advertised.

thanks

I've just started with my first grow with one. Growing NL and am about 3 weeks in. I have had to make some modifications, added a small fan to the inside veg chamber. I've noticed that if my ambient temp outside the box is 72-75 degrees, the box will run about 85 degrees and thats the 125w CFL. I have heard that when folks put it in the flowering chamber, they add an inline fan with variable speed control.

Support is good, depending on who you talk to. Some of them are very good, some are a little ambivilent and some have the "used car salesman" mentality.

Overall I've been happy with the box. Be warned though...it is BIG. I had to remove a door frame to squeeze it through an awkward bend in the hallway. So be aware of the size and plan accordingly.

Great "Turnkey system", am learning alot about the process. But if you aren't ready to commit to running this thing....you may want to go with something cheaper. It was a pretty big investment for me.

Oh...and if you live in the US, be prepared to give them your SS#.

Im about to get the Mothership with the roomate upgrade. basically it is a mothership that is built to handle the entire grow not just veg.
Im adding C02 extra 250
Adding a 220v uk voltage upgrade extra 250
Adding a trimeter which gives you exact readings on all your nutrient levels.
Comes with the cocoa carbon filter

So im pretty excited. I did extensive research into most of the companies and came down to Superclosetdeluxe , Mothership, or The brand new Bud Pro that bc northernlights have just released but have not advertised. Basically it is a supercloset but built with their system. basically blows supercloset out of the water. But when I asked the reps they all seemed to say go with the mothership because its better quality. Eitherway I think supercloset is going to lose alot of business once they advertised this thing...

The producer is awesome but its too big for me mothership seems to be stealthy in size.

Hey drg0nzo, I'm interested in knowing what method you took to add the fan. I have a bloombox myself and the heat/humidity has been a problem for me as well. I thought about putting another oscillating fan in there but the box is sealed up so well that I can't find a seam to run the power cable outside the box. Did you have to do any sort of rewiring? I've thought about buying a battery powered (and perhaps rechargeable) fan but I can't find an oscillating one. Hopefully you can help. Thanks!

I just ran the cord out the front and under to my receptacle in back. You can still close the door no problem if the cord is in the right spot.
