BC Bud Depot: The Purps (FEM 6 Pack)

I bought a 6 pack of BCBD The Purps FEM because they were out of Regs from The Attitude on 3/1/12. Attitude did there job once again flawlessly. Perfectly packed and shipped, None broken. Well after about 3 weeks I decided to germ 4 out of the 6. Well Only 1 out of the 4 germed horrible!!!! I'v had better results with Green House Seeds (I'v had not so good germ rates with GHS). The 1 that did germ is super weak looking, like might not even make it. Im not trying to dis BCBD but wow 4 seeds and only 1 germin, WTF. Oh well guess another lession learned. I figured instead of emailing attitude and complaining about it I'd just take the lose, Since its not Attitudes Fault. They did there job, They are a seed bank, Not breeder. They just buy seeds in quantity and sell them back to us at a decent price.
I figured i'd come on here and tell my experience so others can make a good choices when purchasing seeds, Not dis BCBD, which im not tryin to. I'v heard of other having better luck. But I can say I will NEVER buy that brand again, and hopefully I will save someone from taking the same lose as I did. If you dont mind 1 out of 4 just to try it go for it, hopefully you will have better luck. I'll stick to DNA, RP, CC, and TGA which I have nothing but great luck with.

Germ results are usually in the hands of the customer. that being said, I had bad germ results with BCBD's "Purple Buddha" and "The Black", something like 70%. i dont know how they do their breeding but i thought they were pretty good quality plants, the Purple Buddha smelled and tasted like grape poprocks, super sweet and grapey.

I germinated the Purps seeds the same as I germinate all my seeds and I usually have a 100% germ rate with Exception to these and 1 pack of big bang seeds which I got 2 out of 5, but that was also 2 years ago like a month after I started growing so I didnt really have it down yet, that those could have been my fault. I dont think that was the case with these. I also germinated 7 other seeds of various strains along side them and had 100% germ rate.
I am not trying to say I am an expert by any means but I dont think this was my error this time only because the others germinated NO prob. Every grower makes mistakes, thats how we learn. Its either we got old beans or that BCBD's quality control needs to be done better.

I also germinated 7 other seeds of various strains along side them and had 100% germ rate with those. I do agree with you poor germ rate is usually the grower, but in some cases its the breeders fault for releasing poor quality seeds.

I've run the BC bud blueberry before. Two packs of 12. Germ rates around 95%.

Sometimes its just like that. I was running a pack of leprechauns new grave digger and had 40% germ rates, just on that pack. Popped 50 other beans of various strains and breeders, and only 2 didn't pop.

I think you'll like the NBD. Some very good smoke out of those seeds.
