Batwing or parabolic reflector?

Which is better. I'm buying a 1000 watt system and the enclosure is going to be 4 feet by 4 feet and all the way to the ceiling

Batwing is better for a one light grow or a tent style grow, parabolics rule for bigger spaces

on a side note tho, i noticed my batwing has a couple blind spots, like the light doesnt hit hard in a few spots , so a parabolic would eliminate that...i think there big tho , like 4x4 yud have to check

Especially for a 1000w bulb I would highly recommend an air cooled hood. This will help you direct the heat out of the grow room. 1000w bulbs put off a tremendous amount of heat.

yea I don't have money for a cool tube right now. After my first grow I should though. The parabolic is $19 and the bat wing is free with the kit. I have enough room for the parabolic and plan on growing like 12 plants under it

for 19 greenbacks its worth a try, especially if yur gettin the batwing for free, try em both out and see which one performs better for your setup...everyones setup is diff so its hard to say whats better in this dept

Well I haven't seen the apartment yet but I was going to make it 4 feet by 4 feet and all the way to the ceiling. Maybe bigger depending on the size of the apartment

(this is a low income studio apartment so I'm not sure what to expect and theres no debate on the place)

I have 2 parabolic and am going to add a 3rd, I veg with an adjusta wing. You definitely need some kind of cooling if your gonna run an open 1000watt bulb. I use a 24,000 btu ductless a/c to control my temps.

air cooled just makes things easier especially if you have seasons changes in the winter piece of cake keeping things cool come summer not so much

I think I'm going to go parabolic just cause its old school and looks like it'd bounce back more light than the bat wing. Specially cause I'm growing more than a few plants.

I've got a 250 CFM fan already so I'm not too worried about heat. Plus it gets down to -40 Celsius in winter so I can just crack the window open
