I don't see a whole lot of threads about bathtub grows. When I do, they tend to be crazy over-the-top schemes, with stuff like venting through sewers and taking over whole bathrooms. I'm thinking for convenience, security, bug and disease prevention, etc., it's a no-brainer to use the tub in an extra bathroom for growing. There's always a vent, which is the first thing that draws me to the idea. There's running water, which isn't that important but very nice to have (in an area where the water is potable, not too alkaline or chlorinated, of course, and even then, still convenient). You can disinfect every surface, and even if you get mold it won't destroy a house. The downside is the limited space (2'x4', or whatever a bathtub is, but I'm looking at this in preference to a bedroom closet, in a situation where there is no place for a 4x4 tent or anything of the sort.) But as I said, I don't see a lot of people doing this, and it makes me wonder what terrible show-stopping fact I'm missing. People who have spare bathrooms still do closet and cabinet grows and go to some great lengths to deal with ventilation. So I'm posting here to ask "why?" What am I missing here?
