So many people use Bat Guano, because it works. It works very well and makes fat, frosty nugs. Plain & Simple.... I bet the nay sayer, Joker52, uses chemically rendered sludge & petroleum waste byproduct fertilizers. Yuck...
Not in my HERB... NEVER.....

Keep It Real... Organic

you are so true, bat guano is one of the building blocks of going organic..........along w/ other trace minerals like kelp. i use guano and blood meal, kelp, dolomite lime, and worm castings. i make my own soil less mix and my girls just love it. you can get guano in high N or P K so it works as a nitrogen supply i think the older guano contains more P K not sure though. what would you use if you weren't going to add guano for N? they used sea bird shit as well. starting w/ a good pro mix and mixing in your own nutes is the way to go organic

There's just ONE issue that I have with using any quantities of seabird or bat guanos, and that is this; was it a mined, essentially 'non-renewable' source of guano? I've used about half of the sample I was given, and I plan on using more, but if I can find a renewable substitute, I might try to go that route. I think we should be fully aware of what we do, especially when a group of organic growers is trying to lessen certain types of impacts we may have on the earth.

Hey there folk, big ups for the organic growers. I have been using guano for years on all kinds of plant and I can tell you it works and work well. I am curios how a store bought bag of bat poop can be accurately rated at 10-13-3, 10-2-0, etc. second thing this is a comment for seamadein bat guano is not mined it is just collected from constantly growing piles in caves or like in my situation piled up in parking garages so unless all the bugs die yes it is renewable. Bats go out every night and eat bugs and only bugs then process them into some of the best organic nitrogen sources for plant on earth. I just go to the mall after hours and drive around with a broom and dust pan scoopin poo its awesome cuz it’s free. What I do is fill an empty 20 oz soda bottle a quarter of the way with the guano then I top it off with hot tap water and shake away. I usually fill about 10 or so and set them aside, periodically shaking them. This makes an awesome tea im not sure the shelf life of the tea but I imagine it stays good indefinitely it is poo after all. I don’t use them until they have soaked at least a day or else the poo will not dissolve completely. I don’t even measure the stuff and at times have feed outdoor plant large loads of the stuff with nothing but awesome results in veg stage. Its pooootastic!

Side note-- I have also been known to bury filleted fish carcasses guts and all in the ground then at harvest time dug up the roots and found nothing not even bones left o I know the lady’s love em!
