Hello: Fellow Growers
This is my first indoor grow, I will give you a little info about the set up.
GL80 Growlab Tent, 400w MH-HPS, Fox Farms Ocean soil, Fans, ect ect.

These are my Barneys Farm LSD (feminized) from Attitude. I have three LSD going. They sprouted about 9-15-10, the seedling pic was taken on 9-19-10, the purple light pic was on 9-27-10 and the last pic was 10-4-10. I will be posting pics as well as any issues or details as things progress. So far they have only received H2O, but I plan on using Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom. If anyone has grown this strain, please chime in with any tips or comments:)

Thanks for looking Stl matt

Looking good...later in the game remember they easily become P deficient during flower....other than that pretty friendly to grow...took to topping and lst'ing really well... :joint:

Have tried some lil baby buds here and there and , well, WOW! Potent stuff...can't wait til I get the properly cured sample as I already know they named this strain perfectly...can't wait

I am scribed and watching

OK, I just took a few pics today (Oct 11th) and i see a few issues???? I havent really started feeding them yet, they have receieved a half dose of Fox Farm Grow big and BigBloom about 5 days ago. I see a few issues, the underside of the leave seems to have high ridge veins?????? I aslo have a few leaves that are like folding in (see pic) then the last issue is the small discoloration on the tip of the large fan leaves. ????????? I checked and my soil PH is runnning 6.8-7.0, I thought maybe they were to close to the light, even if the temps never get above 75....I did go ahead and move the light about 6-8 inches up......they cloud use a little streach as they are supper bushy:)

Looking for some good advice

I experienced a little stretch but much less than other strains I have seen....

Namaste':leaf:
just to give an idea of how much it stretched for me...
my last grow,i tried a scrog on it...i trained it under the screen for a couple weeks after i switched it over and still had 4ft colas over the screen
i havent grown anything that stretches more yet,but u have probably grown more than me
i still have alot more to try

not at all
was wondering what it meant?
ive seen it around
k 2 da(the) alvin=kalvin

so basically my screen name breaks down to my name.. except for the fact that it also includes a numerical addition as well as ebonics.

you've seen it around? like me posting? or as other user names?

to stay on topic, i've personally never grown this strain L.S.D.. but i've had had small bushes stretch to 4 1/2 foot beasts i had to LST.. MH-HPS shows alot of stretch for me though.. anyone else have experience with this?
i use 1000w MH for veg. then 2X 1000w HPS for flower in tent a 6FTLongx4FTWidex4FTtall all in a giant scrog

once you switch to HPS for flowering, i belive you'll see a lenky side of your girl you havent seen before..

are you doing any training methods? TOP/FIM/LST?

i might do some bending, but i wasnt going to Top or FIM,,,,,,,,,just let them do thier thing:)

I find topping and lst'ing to be quite effective at allowing the light to reach all of the plant in effective amounts for good growth as well as tight bud structure...hope it helps

Have found that keeping blue (mh) light only til after the stretch helps reduce the stretch immensely... as well as close as the heat will allow...IMHHO

must just be someone around your area, probably not numerous people, just one person bombin your blocks...

just a guess...

my screen name is just simply my name, has no connections with graffiti in any way..

Update for the week. Took these pics today (10-18-10) Everything seems to be going as planned. The plants are 15" tall and very bushy. I still have some small discoloration on some of the fan leaves (see pic) not sure what is from or what the issue might be as the rest of the plants looks great. The one in the top left was a monster, so I decided to try the FIM topping.....we will have to see what happens. The others have not been trimmed or topped at all. I started feeding them last week with some Fox Farms Grow Big and Big Bloom. The first feeding I did 1/2 the recommed amount. The next Fedding I went for the FULL general feeding and they seemed to love it. I have them in 3 gallon pots and only need to water them about every three or four days. The Barneys Farm LSD plants are the top left and right as well as the bottom right plant. The small one in the middle and the lower left are just some bag seed I had.........I dont know how much longer I will keep them as the LSD is taking over. The bag seed is also about 8 days behind the LSD. I plan to start the flowering on Nov 1st, I will give them 36 hours of dark just prior to switching to HPS 12/12. Stay tuned for more updates........:)

PS: They have a great smell right now, I thinking these are going to be real stinkers:)

sweeet. i can't wait for more updates... discoloration of the leaves can mean alot of things.. i found that when you have a water/feeding schedule of feed, feed, flush.. it helps remove some salt build up thats most commonly found while using Fox farm products.

water/flush out your containers with 2x the volume of the container will help remove alot of this salt build up..

i have a friend go as far as feed, feed, flush with a flushing agent. then back to feeding..

i hope this may lead to a solution for your discoloration problem
