Hey guys, on Wednesday my feminized Barneys Farm LSD broke soil, today is currently day 4. Just had a question as to why its not growing straight? Its not stretching, I have a 23w 6500k CFL above 1 1/2 inches on the top of the seedling to get it going and growing in an 18oz solo cup with Bonticare Cocogro mixed lightly with perlite.

Any reasons as to why it could be leaning?

Looks like a severe case of stem lean. Unfortunately, there is no cure and it is fatal.

I had something like that happen a while ago. Just made sure it was centered under the light (it was a bit off to the side before), and let it keep going and it straightened itself out. Just think of it like the plant is doing LST on its own

Dude, you are tripping!!!!

That plant is completely healthy for day 4. It is completely normal for the stem to bend like that, don't worry mate!!! Just be patient...All is looking good.

Don't worry! For some reason the light may be directing the plant toward that direction. Is there anything reflective where its bending toward?

there's nothing else it could possibly be reflecting and leaning towards besides the one hanging light. I've tried spinning the cup around to see if it would straighten up but ill give it some time. this is the slowest growing seedling I've delt with!

it will b fine DON'T do anything rash just let it enjoy life as a baby before it hits the rigors of adulthood. i just today put MY barny's farm LSD on 12/12 with a Train Wreck as well. heard horror stories about barny's farms seeds are not the best and can hermie easy, i'm about to find out since i did not learn of this until i had already bedded it . I will let u know of mines fate as it unfolds, good luck with yours as well

I know what I'm talking about, I just thought it deserved a silly response. The worst thing you can do is obsess over every little thing. I'd bet more plants are ruined by overbearing owners trying to "fix" a problem that was non-existant in the first place.

It is situation itself so that it exposes the most useable leaf surface area to the light source. While you might think its directly over the center, the best light might be slightly to the left or right. Could be turning away from light or heat although that is most often manifested in twisted "corkscrewed" leaves. Has it been perfectly upright since it broke ground? Maybe its just not stretched out all the way upright yet.

It has been four days though. I would be concerned with the lack of 7 bladed fan leaves, side branching and the inter nodal distance. ; )
