Barneys Farm LSD - 2nd CFL Grow

Hey everyone. So my new combo thermometer/hygrometer, clip fan, and tent arrived yesterday. Set it all up and working great, much better fit with the tent. 4x2x5' Lighthouse Hydropoinics tent off amazon, good price.

Heres what shes sitting in now

Ive got about another 46 watts CFL i can add, temps are at the max Id like them at the moment so just waiting in the 175cfm 4 inch inline. Currently its a little over 375w, definetly need to upgrade to HID next go.

Week 9:

Back for week 9 update RIU. I ended up adding one more light which is all I've got to put for the rest of this grow, currently 397 watts CFL. She is growing nicely! Odor is increasing aswell as the heavy trich/resin production. Not much happened this past week beside the growth. My Bluelab pH meter has finally arrived along with the solution kit. Works wonders!

Note: I took Mr.Shim's advice and gave her a little trim at the bottom stock day 24 into 12/12, but nothing crazy.

Thanks man I appreciate it! Since about week 4 of veg she's been getting the full General Organics Lineup. This is my first run using nutes, coco, and purchased genetics so I'm kinda trying to figure out what to do and not during my next go. I've been feeding her everyday with 2L nute solution containing Bio thrive, Bio bud, cal/mg+, bio marine and bio root for the flowering stage and she seems to love it. I don't have a ppm/ph combo pen anymore but last week feedings were between 500-650

Week 10:

Back for week 10 RIU. Is she ever getting fat and stinky Today is currently 28 days since first pistils, and 35 days into 12/12. I've finally added my 190cfm inline fan to my new tent, all thats left it a new HID setup.
Some more info: 420 actual watts of CFL, 28,400 lumens. Shes staying at 27 inches tall. Fed everyday at 5.9 pH.

What wattage HID do you think you'll get. You also need two more things, a waterfarm and a scrog screen.

She looks amazing. Mine is taking a bit longer to flower(probably because the number of tops) but no worries.

Most likley will spend the little bit extra on the 600w HID cooltube kit. Just unsure of the temps that'd give off in my tent with a 190 cfm exhaust (very unfamiliar with HIDs, just gotta do some reading about them.

I am really interested in doing a scrog for my next run with one plant like yours. Also just need to do some reading about waterfarms. Dont think it would work very well in a coco medium handwatering? Seems that would be difficult to make sure its evenly watered lol.

What is yours smelling like? Mines giving off a very lemon scent, not very skunky. Excited to see your updates

I don't really know much about coco. Does it hold water? If it's anything like hydroton in that it's more less just a place for the place to take root I don't see why you can't use coco in place of hydroton.

So far it's really lemony. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I had to do another res change today, ppm's were too high and I started noticing a bit of nute burn on some tips.

Week 11:

Things are looking great this week! The pistils have just started turning orange/brown a few days ago, buds are really swelling nicely! Both top colas are 6-7 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.

Those are speeding right along. You may be done by 8 weeks. Mine is taking it's sweet little time. Looks like a 3.5 week instead of almost 5.

Thanks Im quite please with how shes going. 8 weeks would be great! Just not getting my hopes up for this one, being as patient as possible for as many cloudy trichs as possible (last grow was cut to early). Im looking forward to some updates on yours soon, i love the look of all those tops. Im jealous thinking that you're easily going to be able to pull a 1/4 pound if not 1/2 from a 400w HPS and I'm hoping for 2 ounces at the end of this lol. Wish I would have sucked it up and just went with it lol. Next grow though, live and learn!

Week 12:

Heres some updates for the past week. Buds have packed on some more weight, pistils still turning colour. Odor is increasing nicely aswell. Earlier in the week one of the branches ended up bending over from weight so thats been tied up to a bamboo stick. Also, Ive had to tie the two main tops together in fear of them snapping off. Putting her into 12/12 the two tops were 11.5 inches apart from eachother, before tying them togther they were 19 inches :O, couldn't risk it. Here are some pictures

Trust me I hope I'm wrong! I have just been doing some research on the flowering times of BF LSD and I've found a few people have similar experience with 80+ day flowering times, not saying every pheno is going to take the same time to flower but... Took the loupe to her today. There are still quite a few tiny clear trichs, over 50% cloudy though I'd say, no amber. I think im going to let her get about 10% amber then cut for a slight couchlock effect. Although I'm experimenting this grow again with when to properly cut her down, and drying/curing.

chop before amber IME makes for a much better high

+1 chop before amber. CBD doesn't produce a high.
