ALL fruits and vegetables release Ethlene..have you ever seen those Tv commercials for those special "green" bags that release this gas..thus keeping produce much fresher,for longer??Ethylene helps them ripern faster..it has something else that makes cannabis seeds feminised...aw good ol' ethylene..

if you want to go straight to the source, i know there is an ethylene solution you can buy. you just soak the seeds in that and it is supposed to leave you with female seeds.

Man,why bother buying or ordering some expensive shit,when you can do it at home for only a few bucks worth of bananas??Just make sure you can find a way to seal all the Ethylene with the seeds..

True you could just stick to the banana method, but I can still see the advantages of having a bottle of it, one being that it is purified and will go a long way, if you grow a lot that is.
I guess my point is that if either method were free, I'd choose the solution.
but use the bananas as long as we still have them, the same fungus that killed the better tasting naners is back! (apparently, according to my genetics prof)

I can find evidence for banana's speeding up ripening of fruit but nothing on it affecting the sex of seeds.
My guess is some stoners were sitting around on day doing what stoners do, smoke good weed and think of really cool shit. On of them knowing about this affect bananas have on tomatoes thought, hey! I bet this will turn my seeds all female too. Of course he had no scientific evidence of this but it wasn't needed because he was stoned. This slowly turned from myth into fact over the years and that's where we are today... lots of talking and no scientific studies.

Those are reasonable points..but theyr ARE scientific experiments were some kinda of vegetable's seeds were treated with Ethylene,and the resuls were feminized seeds.I eman,just think about it,almost every "seed feminizer"product out there contains Ethlene as an active ingredient..ethylene is the gas given off by bananas as they naturally decompose..thus permeating the seeds membranes and feminizing them.Some people have tried ot for YEARS,and they alwas get a 100% female ratio.
The way I see it,it's worth a try,seeing as it'll only wastes a few weeks of your time.

so can someone please correct me if im wrong about doin this
#1 put seeds in bag
#2 cover seeds with napkin
#3 put bananas in the bag around the seed
#4 open up up the bag every once in a while as if u were curing bud
#5 replace banans as needed over the 2 weeks process ( when bannanas get saughy and smushy)

That is right..just remember the seeds cant touch te peels at all..and as long as the seeds are around Ethylene,then till work..try to find the best kinda of ziplock bag,so that the gas wont permeae through.you can even use canning jars..that'll work better!
