Ballasts and volts

Is anyone using digital ballasts? What do you think?

Any advantage to going to 220v ballast?

i have a Lumatek 400, It is SILENT, so thats always nice if your growing anywhere it could be heard. It gets hot but not as bad as a magnetic ballast. They say it uses less electricity but i have not tested that. They also make alot of claims of the light being brighter but that all seems like smoke and mirrors to me, they say that your bulb will last longer with less drop in output, but again i have no way to test this either.

I like my Lumatek, but i got it cheap, Unless it is going in your bedroom it really doesn't seem to make much of a difference what type of ballast you get.

Also if a raditional ballast ever fails you can easily rebuild it, if my digi goes and is outside of warrenty, I have a 12 pound paper weight.

I just purchased 5 digis from these guys on Ebay. They are absolutely fantastic & they convert from 120~240 with just the switch of a plug. The good thing about it is that they have a 3yr warranty. check it out.
