Where should your ballast be placed when hanging your light? Right now mine is on the floor, but it's sitting on a concrete floor. Any feedback will do.

is it in a housing you don't want a shock hazard on the floor , even if it is i would suggest setting it on a small table or tv tray

Thanks.Its in a huge grow box I built recently.( made of plywood and 2x4's) Probably about 5ft tall and 8 ft wide

cut a small hole and fish the wires through it to have the ballast outside the grow area...cuts down in the heat

You should move it outside of the box per massah suggestion. You do not need to worry about the extra heat.
