For all those newbies out there considering buying expensive seeds for their first grow - have you got any seeds lying around from a previous score? I had a few from some nice smoke I had last summer and thought I'd give them a go along with some autos I was growing..... and I'm bloody glad I did!!

As can be seen, you can get some cracking buds from decent bagseeds. Not 100% sure what their heritage is, perhaps cheese, not really sure.... don't really care!!!

The main cola on the one plant was frikkin huge... my arm was aching after holding the one end while I was trimming it

These were grown under a 400w HPS, so the electricity hasn't cost me a fortune either. Also, I only grow for myself, so I've got more than enough to last me for the rest of the year........... though I've started growing some Auto AK47s and White Dwarves... I couldn't resist... growing is more addictive than weed ever will be!

I've foolishly mislaid my scales so I can't tell you the (wet) weight, but I'm sure I'll get a good few ounces once dried and cured. They are now hung up drying in my tent and I've got a bunch of kilner-like jars for the cure.

BAGSEEDS RULE!!!! :weed:

Nice man. Not all bagseeds will produce like this though. This is a good example of a bagseed gone right, though I've seen many more bagseed attempts go badly. Good job though! Nice fattie cola. Let us know how it smokes!

wow digg u sure handled that.. Hypothetically speakin wat nutrients did u use for da auto plants.. I know some1 planning to do a sea of green of all Autos but cant get da nutrients down to a "T". Cheers guys... I hope it provides some inspiration for others to do the same.

I keep things fairly simple with my grow medium and on the nutes front. I start seeds on wet tissue paper and as soon as they crack I put them in seedling compost (with some perlite) in small pots. Once they are looking strong enough I transplant them into larger pots (actually trying some airpots for my next grow) using cheap compost mixed with perlite and some fish blood and bone..... I don't bother with fancy grow soil, I don't think you need to personally.

As far as nutes go, with both my previous autos and these bagseeds, I've used BioBizz (mainly just the bloom one (I think the topmax is pointless - it's so weak!)) and also added a shedload of molasses............. I think that's what's really helped. I was using the cane molasses initially, mixing a few tablespoons into a half a litre of hot water, then adding that to my normal water. More recently I started using the sticky liquid molasses. They seemed to love all of it and I strongly recommend others to use it.... it's cheap too!!!!

When it comes to water I just use tap water, though I allow it to stand for a few days before using it.

Good luck!!!

I've tested my tap waters PH too.... thankfully it's around 6.5 - 7..... pretty lucky really!

you have to point out the difference between bagseed from a solid sac or we talking bout a bag of schwag? One of my moms is from a bag of sour kush & is DANK!

My first bag seed grow went great as well

Bagseed is fine as long as you know the chances are 1/5 as good as Getting Legit Strains ...

1/5 will be shit weed, 1/5 will be ok weed, 1/5 won't germinate,1/5 Will Be males, and 1/5 will Be the best shit you ever smoked
It's just waiting out the odds

Letting your water stand for 12+ hours lets the chlorine evaporate out of the water reducing the chance that your PPM will negativley affect your grow.

Some swear by it, others say it isn't neccisary, I think that each person has to be there own judge to this in my humble opinion.

* A question I have though is do you mix your water/molassis mix and let that sit, or do you mix that into your existing water that had been sitting?

As Jixan says, letting the water sit apparently lets some of the chlorine evaporate.... I'm not sure it works, but it's easy for me to do using a decent sized container (I only water every 2 or 3 days (when they need it)).

I mix the molasses in just before watering, I don't let it sit with the water.

The weed I got these seeds from was first class, grown locally by an associate of mine, so I knew they were good. I wouldn't bother wasting my time growing seeds from crappy weed or even seeds I wasn't 100% sure about..... we all put a lot of time and energy (literally) into growing plants, so it's not worth taking a chance with seeds you're not sure of.

However, if you're growing outside and don't need to worry about your plants and the cost of growing them indoors, I say grow ANY seeds you have lying around!!! You might ge lucky!!!

Chlorine Is One of the 17 Nutrients essential to plant life..... It's considered In Liebig's law of the minimum...... Being that it evaporates As A gas, And A TDS Tester Checks for Dissolved "Solids" not gasses ....I don't think It even Registers In PPM's on a tester ...Lets your plants use it before it disappears :)

From Wiki :
As the chloride ion, which is part of common salt and other compounds, it is abundant in nature and necessary to most forms of life

Chlorine
Chlorine is necessary for osmosis and ionic balance; it also plays a role in photosynthesis.
