This is what I grew. I’m amazed that it worked!
Hello! Long time lurker, first time growing/posting.
Successful harvest! It’s still drying, but I’m enjoying (a little) early
These were planted from bag seed on Jan16. I know the mother was a moderate indica, but nothing as frosty as these.
I used a combined output of ~230W LEDs. That’s actual draw, not HID equivalent. It was bright!
I’ve been harvesting a little every couple days for the past 1.5 weeks. I’ll harvest the last ~40% Saturday or a bit later.
these started life in a DWC before converting to the kratky method. That didn’t work very well. Their roots got quite scummy and I nearly lost 2 of the plants.
But, they rebounded in a VERY hot PH soil and revealed their resistance to nute and ph burn.
Soil growing is a lot easier—maybe I’ll try hydro in the future, but not for some time.
things I learned:
- scrog NEEDS to have the stems completely tied down. Any sticking up = lost bud weight below
- topping and the manifold method are amazing
- hydroponics is hard
- this is truly a divine gift
-LEDs can be too close. One of the sativas grew up into the light and I thought nothing of it. Well, that made some foxtailing, which I’m hoping will be ready with the rest!
