Bagseed Invasion!

Well, ive been on here some time now, and you all got me through my first grow. So i thank you all. I was happy with the results. About (3/4) of an ounce off three plants. Now, its time to start my second grow. I just started germ. 5 seeds. Four bag seed and one super bag seed(seed that came from last bag seed grow). Im using the papertowl on plate under bowl method. When germinated, i will place them into my secret box. LxWxH is 24x20x30 in. Its a small box so cfls are in place. Right now i have 6 26watters. I know its only 156w, but it got me through my last one... Also planning on more lights after the holidays. Pot sizes are going to start off small, and i will be later purchasing gallon sized ones. Fer nutes i just have Schultz for veg and molasses for flower. SChultz is 20-30-20. Inside the box i plan on veggin 18-6 for the first 3 weeks then going flower. Also, ill be using LSt and a scrog. ill get pictures up once something exciting happens and i can find my camera..

once you get those lights you will have some nice increase in yield

I like that you've got your grow planned out. You're using Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, right? If not, you should.

I'm using CFLs right now (6 23w) for my ladies. Keep me posted on your progress, post up some porn for us!

thanks storzbickle, i cant wait to get the extra power. and lounge, right now im using miracle grow moisture control.. there is no hydro shop or and garden specified places around here. just homedepot and could never find any fox farm products.. everyone speaks of them so highly, i thought id look fer some... maybe once the weather gets nicer ill take a trip to a nursery around here to see what they have..

Prior to joining RIU and learning otherwise, I used Miracle Grow Potting Mix on my first grow.
We're lucky to have a local growers shop about 5 min from my home. I spoke with an associate there, he said plants can be transplanted from one soil to another. Simple remove the rootball, gently shake off loose dirt, and re-pot.
Fox Farm Ocean Forest Organic Potting Soil These bags are $25 at our local shop.

dont hesitate to ask if they can order foxfarm for you. i have a local shop that does that for Ionic nutes that i use

Ill look to see if they have the soil at the nursery.. if they have it, ill grab it. maybe i should give them a call to see if they are even open winters around here... idk?? but this is just bag seed.

might as well give them a call and save the trip. but most places should be open- i live in a cold climate and they are open around here- stuff is even cheaper because its not in season.

for sure. even if they cant get fox farm, or dont stock it. mushroom compost is very very very good soil and is common at garden centers. look up that soil and check it out, has a lot to offer the plants- its not a brand, just a type of soil

yeah you never know about sales if like home depot or some shit like that has coupons after xmas, and they have soil -thats awesome

out of my 9 or so seeds,(i added more for the hell of it ) i have 2 radicals poking through!! makes me smile. ill probably wait untill tomorrow to plant them so i can plant all 5 at the same time.

im still working on getting some photos up.

and... the nursery is open, so ill be heading there after the holiday.

wellll... i woke up and looked at my little beans, and they were all germinated. sadly, i have to cut down to 4 plants to start b/c thats the containers i have.. any ways.. i chose the 4 with the longs radical/quickest growth time, and planted then today. and btw.. i have sh*t load of pics. for you all!!!

today i went to look in on my buddies, and they were lookin back at me!
3 of 4 were poking though the soil and had their "baby" leaves!! hurrah hurrah!!

Its been a couple days since an update. How are things going with the babies? Keep us posted!!!

woah. i forgot alll about that one. they all died over newyears bc i wasnt home to water them..

3 are sprouted.

i didnt get a chance go get any goodies from the nursery yet.. no spare cash sittin around.

I will be taking mastakoosh's example and giving the males a horrible death.

i may think about trying to make hash with the males the isopropal-alcohol way... (sp?)
any one know this works from experience?
any recomendations?

One more thing. How about seperately flowering the plants. The extracting the pollen from each male. You then would pollenate different sites on the female plant. Then you finish the plants. Get the new seeds from the female. And, finally grind the plants for hash. How's that sound?
