Bagseed flower later than best bud?

Hey all,I have a plant outdoors that is about 5 feet tall. It began flowering in late August and as of now it is covered with buds, but they are all little popcorn looking buds. I keep seeing pics of people who have plants that are already really fat and full of buds. Is this due to better seeds and strains vs. bag weed? I know Ind. vs. Sat. makes a difference and all, and my plant will have bigger buds, but prob not until Oct. It is a Mexican Sativa type plant. Anyay, I was just planning for the year ahead, because then it will be in pots outdoors. BTW, I always thought Skunk was a heavy body couch lock stone, but I have been seeing it in relation to Sativa lately. Can someone also talk a little bit about what exactly a skunk is? i.e., genetic roots etc..?Thanks all.

My plant is doing about the same thing the only conclusion I was able to come to after reading through here for a few days is that the genetics may just not be there. I also put a bag seed to germinate and now I'm nearly done with my first grow and totally stoked. I have had so much fun in the process of caring for her on a daily basis so I hope those buds bulk up for us both sometime soon if not well we'll still have some bud to smoke when all is said and done.
