Why ship something anywhere when you don't have to? I am not a fan of using an imported product when there is a perfectly acceptable alternative made in your own country. It is bad for the environment, a waste of resources and bad for the economy. But if people want to use it, then that is fine by me. I choose not too.

They destroy ancient seabird colonies to get it and even if it is sourced ethically then it is still a commodity that doesn't need to be used or shipped anywhere. I'm in the UK and all of the consumable products I use in my grow are made here. If you want to use bird shit then give Chicken manure a go. The Wife uses it on her fruit and veg, it's great stuff.

I am a bit of a closet environmentalist. I have stopped using peat too.
You don’t use guano because it destroys seabird colonies?

do you use paper? You knowhow we get paper right?

how about the internet? That’s gotta be environmentally safe. Right? Lol

Well I think you're out of the closet now, lol.

I do use chicken manure. I care about environmental shit too, but I'm not hardcore. The sphagnum moss we use here is sustainable. But I do have bat and seabird guano too.

I wad up at least 3 sheets of paper a day and throw them away

I use cannabis specific nutrients(luckily in a legal state if buy in bulk it’s like 5 dollars a liter)

I use coco and dump it out every run. (Also cheap like 12 dollars a bag)

My electric bill is 3x my truck payment.

I prefer dogs over cats.

Watched an elite grow call in the final weight after an 8 day dry. Wanted to ask if he had a fancy freeze dryer....
As long as you have a trim team big enough to process it all on day 8 you should be real close to a final weight. It will still need another 2 weeks to be ready to smoke. 8-10 days of drying is a lot better than most people are giving them. 14 on a whole plant is ideal, but large facilities bucks into branches because 100-1000s of plants take up a lot of room and branches takes up less room. Curing for long periods is a waste of time and the product starts degrading large companies have done testing and terpenes degrade considerably if you do more than a month of curing. And I’ve been saying that for years before I saw them say it, I have taken down a crop every month to 2 months for years and it’s always better fresh (2 week cure) than it is after a couple months.

I also still flush my weed.

There did I piss everyone in the thread off?

Yes you did. Now do you flush or are you just water only the last week or so? Seriously doubt you are really flushing.
Don’t have the time for all that or see a need, water only last 10 or so days

I was serious about this part, I have a hell of a tolerance and run the same strains often. I can get way higher smoking weed with that is fresh off a two week cure than weed thats been curing for 3 months. It’s easy to see why if you look at the terpene loss test results. I’ve been doing this for a long time and once believed the same, yea it does get a little smoother but in my opinion that is from terp loss, ever had a cart with too many added terps, will make you cough Iike crazy.

As far as people sitting on pounds there are enough of us that know what we are doing that moved to legal states putting out fire that if you grow mids it’s time to find something else to do.

To me curing is equalizing the moisture content throughout the bud. You cure it to make it smokable and for preservation purposes. What most people call curing is what I consider aging. Which is slowly oxidizing the thc and off gassing the terpenes. Which is the opposite of preservation.

I love the flavor of fresh off the stem dry. I think a lot of people do. But then again. Not everyone has the lungs of a 20 y/o and can take that sweet kick to the chest. Almost a catch 22 if you ask me. Harsh and tasty or smooth and flat smoke. That’s how I’d describe old cured weed. Flat.

It isn't about the sustainability of the peat moss, it is about the CO2 release when it is dug up. Peat bogs are a massive CO2 soak. The sale of it is being banned in the UK and Europe anyway.

Yea, and I'm sure he's using solar panels to charge the phone and power the computer he uses to come on here. :wall:
Yep. I am planning on buying an electric car too.

I never thought in a million years people would be defending some dude using 1 part 20/20/20 or miracle grow on RIU. Whatever. Veg your weak ass plant in a 5 gallon bucket and dump all the miracle grow you want on it. I took a stab at humor and might have landed flat, but at least I’m not defending miracle grow man.
im not gonna let you off the hook that easy,
im not using miracle grow, it's soil i made just walking into my woods and grabbing buckets of soil off the forest floor. link in my sig.
I use GH Flora series, just super cheap, lasts a long time, and works. Currently just using Bloom and Grow, no micro for this 5g unreleased Cherry Tropicanna by
Constant Elevation Seeds
i just don't want you peeps walking around saying Mudballs uses MG, nah we aint having that
