Bad Brownies?

Hey I have been smoking for a long while now so I thought I would try making brownies with cannabutter, and so I went to the club and bought half a pound and made a nice batch of brownies. They were great tasting but I didn't feel any of it, could something have gone wrong while baking them?

I've had similar experience - though I wish I had a club I could run down to!!!

Been smoking for a long time, had a nice surplus and made some what I thought would be nice strong cannabutter. Made some brownies and... nothin.

Tried eating 2, still nothin. Other folk reported VERY strong results.

Can one be "immune" to eaten cannabis???

I once made a batch of cookies but they didn't seem to do anything. Each cookie contained about 1g of pot, but still nothin. Later I made a batch using a different method of extracting the THC and I was flying!!! The problem with the first batch was the oil that I used, I didn't get it hot enough or long enough to extract anything. The trick with getting the more THC out is too cook the oil/butter for a while at a fairly high temperature. THat should do the trick. If you don't think that the THC is being extracted I would just skip straining the oil/butter and just leave the plant matter in. It may taste slightly worse, but you know you will get baked.:peace:

I forgot to mention that when I say half pound I mean of butter, not of weed. I got it from the club so I know it should work but it hasn't.

Im not sure what went wrong but Ive had simular experiences when making my own edibles...I eat em and never feel shit. But then I bought some edibles from the dispensary and I felt it. I always figured I was doing something wrong.

I have never made brownies with cannabutter, but I am sure that if you cook the brownies at a temperature higher that the vaporization temp of the thc, you will cook out much of the thc. This is why most foods cooked with alcohol contain very little after they are cooked...the alcohol simply evaporates. Next time you get some butter, make a piece of garlic bread out of it to try it. Toast a piece of bread, then butter it with the cannabutter and add some garlic powder. It can take 1 to 3 hours to begin to feel the effect. It takes effect faster on an empty stomach. I'm not sure what the vape temp of thc is but you should be able to find it on here somewhere....Next time try cooking the brownies at a lower temp than the vape temp of thc. Good Luck

Same problem. My buddy would make brownies all the time with swag weed. 1/4 in the grinder and dump into brownies. DONE! I take a half 0 make cannabutter in the crock pot, few hours, used water butter method... Perfect piece of clean butter NO results. Screw it, I am just chucking the weed in there anymore :) I even baked under 300, the whole deal.
