A couple pointless updates...

I dropped off the samples at the lab today, the results should be in as early as tonight but most likely tomorrow (they were pretty busy). I will post the results when i get time (whenever that is... lol) but they will also be available for public veiwing on the Iron Labs website under the member name "Perkins". http://www.ironlabsllc.co/ Its also a great site to use as a tool to look at different cannabinoid profiles and test results, you can set up searches by highest THC, CBD, CBN, total cannabinoid %, strain name ect. Just make sure to change setting to 3 years before looking around, or else it will only show results from the last month by the site's default settings.

Another update to my grow is that i got a fancy new aero cloner, a 60 site EZ-Clone. This thing is way way way overkill for my needs and way too pricey for me to ever buy.... but a good friend of mine (a failed caregiver lol) traded it to me for a quarter after using it less than a year, a deal way too good to pass up!

I just got my next round of cuttings in it last week, which are AK-47, Jack the Ripper, Cannatonic and ??Mystery??. I'll be keeping this ??Mystery?? cut to myself for a while, this particular cut won first place Indica in a recent Michigan Medical Caregivers Cup, and tested over 25% total cannabinoids. I'm pretty excited to have her in my garden!

Question for ya huel. I see you r using colored collars. Is that for color coding? Was gonna do that myself but heard that certain colors attract certain pests and decided to use all black and just keep track using plant tags and a diagram on my white board. Gonna be replacing all my collars and thinking the color coding will just make things easier. No problems with pests? I have an occasional ant or spider crawling around and the stray gnat here and there but nothing major so thinking it shouldn't be an issue

Yes, the different colored neoprene inserts are to help me identify the different strains in the cloner. As for the colors attracting bugs, I have read that before (on this site) but I'm not worried about it...

Huel/MrBungle:

I've been using my ez-cloner for eons now with no issues. A couple things I'd recommend.....

Use plain tap water in the cloner. Don't fuck with RO water or any other type of filtered water. It is my assumption that the chlorine in tap water keeps the sprayers from clogging up and keeps things operating smoothly.

Add a half cup of aloe juice to your cloner. I was skeptical of doing this myself when it was recommended to me by someone on another site. I tried it, and the results were noticeably better (and quicker). I've been doing this for a few months now and am sold.

i had started that thread asking about the collars and it was brought up about pests. think to make things easier i am going to color code my cloner. easier than trying to tag each one

Gonna have to try the pro-tekt myself. I've heard from several people that this is beneficial as well.

How much are you adding to your reservoir?

What were the results on the JTR?? I've been curious to find out myself but never got around to it.

The Jack the Ripper results aren't public because I wasn't really testing for potency...

If you read a few pages back I posted about a flood I had in early april, the flood killed my air pump which nearly wiped out my whole garden. The pump failure was a major blow to the entire garden, and killed roughly half of my plants, including Jack the Ripper. This all happened when the JTR was only 5-6 weeks into flowering and no where near ready to be harvested. The majority of her buds were lightly trimmed and tossed in with my trim I make bubble hash from.

I did save a few select buds to cure and sample, they ended up having some of the sweetest lemon flavor/smell I've ever come across.

The reason I felt the need to test these buds even though they were a good 4-5 weeks from being mature is because I wanted to know if this JTR pheno contained THCV. THCV is pretty rare but JTR is one of the very few strains that can contain this cannabinoid in any significant amount. THCV is so rare that Iron Labs usually doesn't even test for it. Brent from Iron Labs (very cool cat) agreed to run a special test for me to see if there was any amount of THCV in this JTR cut, sadly there was no THCV found.

Ah yes, I did read about the flood. So sad to hear, I was hoping you got farther than that with them :(

Agreed, I'd put that pheno against any "Lemon" strain out there as far as smell goes. The sister pheno I had of this was similar in smell, but had a more nauseating lemon fuel aroma, rock hard golf ball nugs covered in trichs.

Thanks brother, I appreciate your kind words.

I should have some new updates with pics soon. I'm just a little over a week into flowering on my current grow, things are just starting to get interesting again....
