Baby burns, what to do?

So unfortunately during our first grow, we had aluminum foil for reflection (yes, it's a bad idea) and it burnt the plant:fire:. So now I'm not sure if we should cut the burnt leaves off so the plant can focus its energy on growing new leaves or let them die as the plant grows larger. Since it's only about 9 days old, I'm unsure if it's too small to handle that kind of ordeal. Any advice would be awesome!!

i dont think aluminum foil was the issue.

have you ever grown using hydroponics before? you want advice don't grow hydro on your first grow because even if you get it down something could happen in your 6th week of flowering and ruin everything! looks like nute burn/lockout to me.

switch to soil first go round, hydroponics are completely a waste of time for just a few plants. if you are growing pounds at a time it's worth it but anything smaller than that don't bother.

honestly it looks like it doesn't have enough water... check out my journal... I had the exact problem!

It's my first hydro grow from soil and bagseed...

How often are you watering? any nutes yet? What kind of light are you using? Whats the distance of it from the plant?

the burns were there when i had them in the soil actually (the perlite was burned also) they were just recently put into the hydroponic system.

i've taken botany courses at my university so atune to the workings of hydroponics. but i would agree, if one were to not be knowledgeable it would prove potentially problematic

Just transplanted it into the hydro today, it was in soil before. The lights (cfls) were at a safe 1-2 inch distance. and the plants were totally incased in aluminum and the perlite had some similar discoloration as the plant did. however, the watering i was a bit lackadaisical on at times im sure.

I hope you thoroughly rinsed out the soil from the roots, I didn't do this and got root rot in the first week, I'll never go soil-hydro again.

they will look shit for about a week or 2 after transplant but if you arent over nuting and the PH is 5.2-5.8 they will rocket, I do 4 plants and half way into flower propagate new seedlings or take clones 2 weeks before flower and grow them in the sun and under 2 100w flouros for the extra few hours until they go into the main tent for more veggin if I dont deem them suitable size or staight to flower.

get 10-14oz off a 600w HPS this way. I top them once at the 4th node then again at the 2nd nodes on the growth from the toppings, get 4-6 big colas and they fill a 1m x 1m x 2m tent. (including equiptment 1.5m growth height)

yeah i rinsed them pretty thoroughly thankfully i had no idea not doing it would promote root rot

thanks for the advice that helps a lot, how long do your clones take to mature to harvest?
