Dishonesy in political ads? No way. And so you say my choice of the word provoke shows approval of this dishonesty. I am honestly wondering what synonym of stimulate would have appeased your emotions in this regard if any?Provocative as a word choice is deliberately vague, and it makes it a no-brainer to conclude that you approve of the ad.
One of the big dishonesties in the ad is the portrayal of Democrats wearing Klan identifiers. This is laughable on the face of it since the mind-meld between the Klan (and lesser supremacists like Proud Boys) and the GOP has been unmasked.
Even conservatives would find the calumny offensive, since racism has no place in a stable society.
But when it is reported or inserted as fact on a supposed news network, after a hundred repetitions it is no longer automatically questioned, and after another hundred is accepted as true. It is a basic human phenomenon that such beliefs, ones accepted unexamined, are stubborn; merely proving them wrong does not work because accepting that carries a burden of shame for having been hoodwinked by one’s own laziness.
This is borne out by the fact that, at least for the last two years, not one of the hard-right trolls has stared a plain contrary fact in the face and said “maybe you might have something there”. The utter unanimity of the cognitive dissonances required to brandish the usual right-wing lies tells me that the condition is very unlikely to revert to sobriety.
Your posts read like you either pretend you just woke up out a 5-year coma or you're trying to educate people about the etymological connection between ignore and ignorant, from experience.I'm fairly familiar with The Big Lie. I know who invented the phrase and the villains he ascribed it to. The Capitalists. I am not super familiar with how it relates to MAGA though.
Stimulate once again has a positive connotation. You need to put your disapproval expressly if it is to be credited. Value-neutral terms are automatically assigned likely troll source.Dishonesy in political ads? No way. And so you say my choice of the word provoke shows approval of this dishonesty. Also curious as to what else you found dishonest about this clearly 2a ad.
Ok so I haven't read Herf or Hitler thoroughly, but enough to grasp the big lie at conception imo and how that played out catastrophically eventually to the split into the Federal Republic and the Democratic Republic.Your posts read like you either pretend you just woke up out a 5-year coma or you're trying to educate people about the etymological connection between ignore and ignorant, from experience.
Can you cite an actual real world example of modern day Democrats with KKK affiliations? I'm fairly sure that we can come up with many who are registered Republicians.Ah yes. I forgot about the Qanon grift. In your opinion, is team blue innocent of this type of thing?
So which is it, positively connotated or value neutral?Stimulate once again has a positive connotation. You need to put your disapproval expressly if it is to be credited. Value-neutral terms are automatically assigned likely troll source.
examples of better choices:
execrable
appalling
hypocritical
shameless
heart-stoppingly dishonest
calculated disinformation
Ok so you're saying I should have opined on OP I think, and so, I agree with the 2a message but not with how the perpetrators were portrayed all clad in klan. I find it reprehensible, despicable even. I think it shows a lack of class. I wish the home invasion depicted were something more modern, like classic TV movie thugs, with crowbar and shit. Or perhaps he could have worn a Supreme Court robe and the perps could have been "protestors".say something such if you don’t want to be assigned magatard status. Your perception here is entirely 100% managed by what you choose to say. That power, and the attendant responsibility, are all yours.
“Here’s something that I figure will enrage some of you. Entertain me” is essentially what you said in the op, and that is pure trolling crap. If that’s who you choose to be, ~shrug~
I hope the above helps here. I asked do you think team blue engages in disinformation stuff like Q. You gave the correct technical answer. No q folks on team blue. I wanted a more general answer and didn't get it. I completely and totally concede that.addendum: you are either insttentive or a troll. Reread post 35 and admit that you asked a question alteady answered. Its as if you don’t like the correct answer, not an honest approach.
Not really. If I ever encounter one IRL I will be sure to ask their party affiliation after I call them a piece of shit so that you may move a bead on your abacus fore or aft.Can you cite an actual real world example of modern day Democrats with KKK affiliations? I'm fairly sure that we can come up with many who are registered Republicians.
You are tiptoeing around the elephant in the room, which I have discussed earlier. The ad presents us with the implication that the Democrats align with and host the Klan. This is full MAGA lying propaganda. So which is it, positively connotated or value neutral?
Crystal Meth
Sugar
Both stimulants, imo but I am not a scientist. I certainly can see one as negative. The latter I heard stimulates cancer.
I appreciate the advice but it seems everyone wants intent. That's cool, 6th ammendment and all, but I'm not "your" accuser. I didn't make the ad. I did not accuse "team blue" of being klansmen. That would actually be Jerone Davidson for Congress. So naturally I would like intent as well, unless you deny I am facing an accuser ATM, and you seem more reasonable than that.
There was 5 million views on that vid when I posted it, I doubt half of those views were GOP voters. I bet it's over 10 million now. I doubt everyone who read Marx is a Communist or that everyone who watched Reefer Madness is anti-cannabis.

But I think calling people klansmen, supremacist bla bla in general without merit has been going on for quite sometime and you would have a really super awful difficult time arguing that levying that accusation is somehow unique to the GOP. This is the first time I've seen a candidate levy that in video form so I thought it was interesting and that some others might be interested.
Just so I'm clear I don't mean interested as in positively super interested because this message is the embodiment of all I think and am and this man is my christ and savior amen hallelujah.
I just mean curious because I've never seen anything like that. I've seen them with guns, nothing new there but that one was a whopper.

Which you refuse to denounce, and when asked to put your money where your e-mouth is, you abdicate with haughty sarcasm; see post immediately following the quoted.
You won’t pull your weight in this discussion but want the value opinions of those around you.
Obviously I can't give you your opinion. Presenting everyday American Democrats in general as aligning with the klan today is inaccurate. I feel like that's reiterating what you quoted but there it is again. Blanket statements about a group based on the wild deeds of fringe elements is pretty shitty in general. And so I view this guy here as picking up some poo and flinging it back. You are tiptoeing around the elephant in the room, which I have discussed earlier. This sort of dishonesty means there is no conversing with you. Just own the fact that you carried insurrectionist water by starting this thread.Let's find more beads to the right just for sake of discussion.
It's fine really, I've been called a lot worse to my face. My favorite is Uncle Tom. So that's pretty light for online. This sort of dishonesty means there is no conversing with you. Just own the fact that you carried insurrectionist water by starting this thread.
