Ok gang, just got home from work to find all of the plants(7) in my one grow room are like this( see pics) havent checked in on em since last nite, and they were fine...Leaves are curled up lengthwise, not neccessarily the whole leaf, on some it its a very acute curl that occurs to the outer 4mm of the leaf profile...
.
ALL have the same symptom so i will try to give you guys the Low down on the grow tent conditions as best as poss..
All watered using ph7 mineral water, in organic compost(<--used this stuff before and its usually100% problem free) n perlite mix, watered only when my moisture tester reads dry...No nutes fed to the lil plants..diluted nutes to larger stuff = 1/4th bio bizz feed to the larger plants, and 1/6th bio grow + 1/4 bio bloom to the lowryders.
Fan is on 24/7...lighting is all CFL - there are 2 cfl floodlights each containing 3x42w bulbs, 8x 42w cfls with reflectors ,2x26wcfls and 1x 225LED panel...all bulbs are correct veg daylight color 6500k bulbs, except for the LR2s which are under 2700k bulbs..bulbs are 1.5" away from canopies and sides..

Temp is very stable around 79....not sure bout the humidity tho.
Just noticed that one or two of the larger leaves on the small seedlings (2wks old) have the same curling and are lookin pretty screwed too, leaves look like theyre V slightly lighter green than the rest of the plant, and look like theyll be dead in a few days..

This has affected all plants from 5 months old to 2 wks..

Any ideas from the pics?

I've dealt with most marijuana problems before, but this is a new one to me...
humidity issues??
what you guys think??

I've just been handed a NEWSFLASH!!!!.... that a coupla weeks ago while i was working away, the wife accidentally gave em a mist with a mister that had a VERY diluted solution of ammonia nitrate in it...LOL i've also just been informed she gave em all a good dose of the water+nutes mix i had ready mixed up for the LR2s..

Got me thinking now, nute burn can take a coupla wks to show its head cant it?!?
Should i just flush and hope for the best??

I'm royally P'd....
Easy mistake for her tho, so not too much of a biggie.
just wanna try to save em if poss.... :(

Hope that i've provided enough details for ya and the pics are decent enough for ya to see the issue..

Cheers for the reply FDD,Well, i just flushed them out real good with volvic mineral water that has a PH of 7, tested the water that drained out and its still virtually PH7(its fluctuating between a PH6.9 n PH7 reading on the meter)..Theyre now draining out in the bathtub, and i'll stick em back under the lights in half hour..

I'm just pissed that the plants in the other grow room are under almost exact conditions and theyre all fine!! Bah!
Fingers x'd

I hear what ya sayin skitz, but i use cfls alla time and dont have any issues with lights bein too close or temps gettin too high in the grow room etc, so i kinda ruled that out... grow room is a rock steady 79 all day, cools off to around 75-76 during the dark period..Fan is on 24/7 and draws plenty of air in n out of the room.
i've had heat probs before and the symptoms were different and alot worse than the curled edges i got now.
I've never had this problem with one plant before, let alone a frickin roomful.

im baffled then coz when my plants were heat stressed they did the same thing but ruling that out it must be ya ph or a nute deficiency, maybe p-deficiency?im no expert tho, shame i cant solve ya problem!im sure you'll sort it tho.

Magnesium (Mg) Toxicity or ph too high. leaves curl upwards like they're praying? They're praying for Mg! The tips may also twist.

Hi there,

In soil the ph range should be between 6.3 and 6.8 with 6.5 being optimum otherwise u can cause the plant to refuse nutrient uptake of certain elements depending where u sit on the scale of ph.

I've seen mine do that if the light is too close and they are heating up. Not sure if thats your problem though.

Since i found out my mrs had whacked a bunch of ferts over the lot, i figured MG toxicity, as i've seen the leaf curl that you get from that on my buddies plants a while back, hence why i flushed it earlier..

My other plants do really well in this compost, so 'im really not too sure its a ph issue,or wouldnt the other plants be in the same condition??..for example i'm gettng an average of 1oz of my lowryder2s and around 3 Oz off my keralas, all are healthy and have no visible issues..These plants in question have just SUDDENLY got sick.

I've moved the lights up a lil more, cranked the fan up another notch, so that should take care of any poss heat issues...but once again, i've never experienced heat issues in my setups before..So why now?

I figure i might do a heavily diluted mix of Biobizz-grow n water and do a light foliar feed..

Yay o nay?

after the flush i gave em yesterday, and an extremely diluted mist with some BB grow they seem to have perked up a lil..still slightly curled edges but not as bad as they were.
i just hope they get back on track n healthy again... it'd suck if i lose these...
