Its called Sea Of Green (SOG) and yeah loads of people do it and have had awesome results. I'm hoping to make the green rubbermaid tup in my pic into a vegging chamber so I can keep a nice mother plant around.

Materials for 1 Rubbermaid growcab:

2x Rubbermaid tubs - $4 ea. Wal-Mart
2x Roll of Duct Tape - $2 ea. Wal-Mart
1x Small Box Fan - $20 (Its is like 20yrs old I have no idea where I got it)
1 Pack of 100 Zip Ties - $3 Home Depot
1 roll of tin foil - $3 Bi-Lo
2x 46 watt CFLs - $10 ea. Bi-Lo
4x 26 watt CFLs - $3.33 each ($10 for a 3pack) Home Depot
1 Surge Protector - $10 Home Depot
3x Plug-in socket - $2 ea. Home Depot
3x Y socket splitter - $2 ea. Home Depot
1x Exacto-knife - $5 Home Depot
1x Analog Light Timer - $2 Wal-Mart

so about $100 to make a brand new one. I had alot of that stuff lying around my house though so it only cost me like 50.

so i got 12/12 from seed will take 1 or 2 week off my ending time frame but the big ? is if i go 18/6 for four week and then 12/12 would i get fater buds then 12/12 from seed. i under stall sog 12/12 time frame for clones but not from seed.

so not to bank on your setup or anything but what do I have. I was looking for something and instead of spending that money I could just use this. I found it while taking trash out to my apt dumpster and could I somehow incoporate your setup with this little dresser?

Yeah, I think you would have a better yield in just about the same time frame. Maybe like 18/6 until the first real leaves then 16/8 until first full fan leaves then 14/10 until alternating nodes then 12/12 to the end (I base this theory on absolutely nothing ). Actually I'm gonna bump my timer to 14/10. I know I'm going to follow up this grow with another identical grow so I'll make a very detailed journal and at the end I'll compare.

yeah. I'll have rockwool cubes to star them then transplant into fox farm ocean soil. ahve all fox farm nuts. and ordred auto ak 47 seeds from attitude. I have 4 26watt 6500k daylight cfls I think I might get 2-4 more or how many could I fit into this little setup wihtout heat issues? any suggestions and opinions would be great!!!

Dude! That thing would be the sickness. All you gotta do is find a board that would fit inside and sit up on the side rails and you'd be able to very easily move your plants closer/further to the lights. Just paint the inside with a coat of black paint then 2 coats of white. Once you do that just drill some holes in the top and attach your light. I'm sure you could find a really good fan to put in the side at Home Depot. If you want to get really fancy I'd get 2 hinges and a piece of particle board and make a nice little door.

I have the drawer still. I can break it down into just a litle keyboard tray and be able to move it up and down

UPDATE!!!

On the 28th day of 12/12 (since the sprout was fully up) I will confirm my first female. It is the bag seed I planted first and is pictured in my original post beside the solo cup. Pics will be coming soon.

I've been feeding with double strength fertilizer but the plants have THRIVED. I figured they'd nute burn but they have really taken the ferts well even the small ones.

P.S. The second round planted, g-13 skunk and Afghan Kush, both look like they have the beginnings of pistils also but I'm not convinced enough to call it official yet.

Confirmed that the 1st Power Skunk panted was male. Removed him. Day 32 from germination.

That sucks bro but one of of three of mine was male so im hoping you have as good of luck! i was thinkin about tryin out 12/12 from seed so im hoping you get a good yield, right now im 20 days into flowering using 280 watts of cfl for one plantBest of luck man ill be watching.

PH Problem:

The bagseed plant's leaves we're severely curled under and flowering had stopped. I checked around here for a while and decided to check the PH. It was extremely acidic down in the 3-4 range and I have yet to find out what caused it. Going to test all my ferts later.

I flushed with 7 PH tap water until the soil was at around 6.5. If anyone has any experience with fixing PH related problems please let me know if there is something i'm doing wrong.

Good news is this is the first real problem I've run into. Bad news is I took way to long catching the problem and probably drastically reduced my yield. Sigh...

UPDATE

So it has been about 6 days since I fixed the ph and I'm having some problems.

The power skunks are getting burnt on the leaf tips and I don't know why. I don't think it's heat or overferts.

The flowering has all but stopped on the other plants. The odd think is one of the plants has buds but no pistils (some have very small pistils).

I added about 1 tsp. of Bone Meal today to hopefully phospho-shock them into flowering.

Please anyone with experience help me out to save my babies. I think it might be my tap water.

i havent read all your thread but in 12-12 from seed if the compost you are growing in has fert then you should need very little more . the plant is vegging less and flowering smaller, made this mistake with mine, only my opinion though

From my experience 12/12 from seed (Nirvana PPP) will take at a minimum 13-14 weeks. So basically you're only gaining a week or two's time.

You'll get bigger, higher-yielding plants if you start them under 18/6 for at least the first 3 weeks from seed.

hey ppl i planted 9 seeds just before xmas,i had them on 18-6 for the first 3 wks im now on 12-12 they seem to b doing ok,,im not sure waty strain they where sum where given to me and a few from sum powerfull weed i bought,,im usin platggron royalty mix no feeding for the first 6 wks,,its time to start,i hav advance nutreints bloom, grow, and micro,, shud i giv them 36 hours of dark to giv them a bit of a lift or wat way wud yee advice me to do,,i no the amount of nutreintsto mix but im not sure how much each plant shud get,,any advive welcome and crititism,,lol cheers fellow tokers,,,Liamo

UPDATE

Added some Bone Meal yesterday and the Afghan Kush is exploding with new growth and pistils.

Transplanted 2 Power Skunk's to larger containers. I gently watered and included 1/2 tsp. of rooting hormone. So I'll post results of that in the THREAD about it.

1 Power Skunk was male and removed. That makes Power Skunks 2/5 so far.

The bag seed is beginning to correct the scrunched leaf growth but not yet growing new pistils.

Power Skunk went 0/5. The last one finally showed sex so he's been removed.

The Afghan Kush is looking nice and finally starting to gain some flowering momentum. I'll get some pics soon.

The bag seed is flowering now also but the buds are really dense with little/no pistils. Anyone have this happen to them before?

Just popping by to check in.

So, the Afghan Kush has a top cola started thats about an inch and a half long. All the other bud sites are about 3/4 of an inch and there are about 5 extra bud sites on each plant.

The bagseed still has very tiny pistils. It's very odd looking and isn't going to have much bag appeal. But, I'll forgive her if she gets me real high .

I've been watering about every 2 days and I've added extra bone meal once or twice in each plant.
