Just wondering if anyone on this board has used avid sucessfully in destroying the borg.
Was thinking of buying some but at a $100 for 8 fl oz I want to make sure it is successful.

In fact if anyone can spare some I'm in metro D and Ann Arbor area I'd be willing to buy some off of someone as I know i don't need that large of a bottle.

Kills them dead, and it's effectiveness persists for ~7 days.
I can't quite tell how long it persists in plant tissues, you research abamectin (active ingredient) residue persistence.

Ah good to know. Actually about to go in to flower. I've got plants in various stages of vegging. I know you're not suppose to use it in flower.

Found a 2 once on amazon and just picked it up.
So one treatment is all that needs to be applied? These goddamn bastard are persistent and I slashed all my last flowing plants cleaned everything and they still come back

your 'infested'
....contaminated-

--quarrantine unless you wanna expose your friends and keep passing them around
.....its like syphillis
....the gift that keeps on giving-

stay out of grow shops out of respect and concern for the rest of us...
their in your car and other places in the house now too(ur ears)

....do you itch when yousleep at night?
bomb thewhole house if you can-

avid is a nuclear alternative--last resort if all else fails
yeah it works spiffy keen....nasty poison!!

flouromite is a good one rose growers use
roses and erb get the same conditions-

go back to basics tho first if you can......

--spray the fuck out of them next watering outside safe some where

--pick the worst infested leaves off and discard...all of them
--clean your plants...the mites will take more away than you picking leaves....they'l recover

--clean and bleach ur room and surrounding rooms areas...floor...walls...cieling....hallways..lights...fans...etc..etc...clean clean clean
--get all the dust out of the corners....vaccuum a lot!

--sprinkle neem powder around your plants....in the containers
--water a capful in during watering also to piss the fuckers off and make your plants unappealing
--do a very light spray w neem if they arent too far into beginning flower...or eds oregano based zero tolerance

--or do what ive done and take each plant leaf by leaf and spray them off with a pump sprayer...blow the little fuckers off outside

--3-4 approaches
physical (spray)
chemical(bomb)
systemic(upload dterrent)
prophylactically(keep vigilante and diligent and take preventative)

you can spray a lot of them off if you take them outside and use the hose on them-
--then bring them inand try the other steps

or dip them in neem if their not too far along....i have dipped3' plants....in garbge cans

--make a spray with scotch bonnet peppers or realhot ghost peppers....they hate that shit!

DONOT spray anything if the plants in flower.....at all
surely dont give it to any 'patients' as medicine if you did-

you can use the organic shit tho--

it will grow out of it and it really doesnt retain any of it....water waterwater at the end-
only in the beginning-

--if its just about to go into flower...but hasnt yet.....
pyrethium bomb will be gone after another 60-90days flowering....maybe not all the way....??

set off sum pyrethium bombs....2-4-6....3-6-9
until the critters are gone....about a week

if you spray anything on even the 'starred' portion(beginning) of flower you prolly could out grow it but the longer the better and just water otheriwise your gonna grow somthin i myself wouldnt smoke-or let others

leftover residual poisons/toxins

--if you have pets ur prolly fuckd and will be fighting them therest of your life....lol

other than that you can do nothing and let them thrive and at the end get the vaccuum and vaccuum off the spider webs put it in a bag and well..........

--i have met lots of lazy people around here that have spider mite farms--i try and avoid contact

avid is definately a nuclear option-

gud luk tryand stay ahead of the fuckers....one female can have a million offspring within a month
learn her egg 'cycle':eyesmoke:

Thanks for the advice. I don't do grow shops, I buy everything online. Its generally cheaper and I don't have to go anywhere
I have a cat so p bombs are outta the question but the cat is not allowed in the grow room.
I love neem but the fuckers seem to laugh it off.
My grow room is spotless and I've bleached everything.
Everything is for personal use and I do care about my health.
I'm familiar with the risks but nuclear seems to be the best option. I'm tired of losing my hard work and genetics.
No I don't itch, except from opiate usage.
These are broad mites, Not spider mites
I've successfully killed and kept away the spider mites. I do change clothes prior to entering grow. I tend to use bestpractices as I picked them up from my mycology days.

Any tips are greatly appreciated. Any tips on usage of avid as far as amounts to add? I've seen conflicting numbers.

Thanks all, I really do appreciate our community and collective knowledge.

Done the peppers. Which helped. I just need to fucking kill these dope eating insects. Shit I miss outdoors. Indoors fucking has no balance of nature. Sure you are playing "god" but damn things won't leave things alone.

No need to be a dick. I know what I'm using and am aware of the risks. I simply asked what mixture levels those who've trodden down this path may know.

Thanks

i dont like that path-
so i try never go down it or expose myself to the journey

hard to know if someones being a dick or just joking on the web--its just werdz
murf is definately not a dik....

try a half of a capful per gal water.....increase if it doesnt work
yeah the 'little' cap from the bottle theshit comes in-

that stuff is very toxic use w extreme care

u spray on their egg cycle....usually 2-4-6....or 3-6-9
catch them before they hatch

broad mites are a whole nother beast and cousin to spider mites
but a mite is a mite is a mite-

funny thing is how folks pass them around .......around mich here-
never go into someones room.....and never let them or their plants in yours(quarrantine first)

one of the first rules of indoor-

the other rules are never tell anyone

and the last rules like the first
-- never tell or show anyone

mites are a motherfucker and hard to get them gone-
you must be diligent and resourceful and stay ahead of them or they will eat you and your garden alive

weak plants can attract them also-
if your a beginner dont be afraid to thro out weak plants and start over.....

you'l b further ahead
--i prefer floramite for my nuclear option

gud luk

Avid has been the only thing that worked for me. I use 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, every 3 days, 3 times total. I never spray plants in flower.

That said, I now do a complete wipe down of my room after every run. I no longer do a perpetual grow, and that gives me a chance to really clean and get rid of anything that might be lurking. This is what really made them go away. The absence of plants every two months for a week.

Well the comment of gasoline seemed a bit sarcastic so my bad on jumping the gun. Ya know internets and all.

Yes I've had to rid plants which were deeply infected. Sad thing to have to do, but it's for the good of the colony!

I do have a perpetual grow, but I tend to do a massive wipe down every two weeks. Seems to help but while scopin
Out the leaves I noticed the little bastard have returned on a couple plants. What I find interesting is that certain strains are unappealing to those damn dope eating insects.

do not use AVID pesticide. it requires a filtered respirator and full hazmat suit to apply. chemicals stay in plant well past a few weeks. some growers gloat that it stays in their plants for several generations, do you want to smoke that?

mighty wash kills spider mites, period. I had a minor mite infestation on some clones acquired from an outside source and used mighty wash, within 24 hours all mites were dead. never had mite problems since. one note about mighty wash: rinse off the residue it leaves on your plant otherwise your plant will get light burn guaranteed.

as of today-

i will never smoke any one else's ganj.

mite free weed certainly is worth more to the untrained eye. but i never spray it on flowers. well..................maybe once.

i've got 8 ounces you can have. God bless you.

test have shown that Avid stays in the plants system 60 days total. also, like someone stated, be very careful when handling it. the person that past it off to me instructed that i wear a surgical mask, long sleeve and googles when or if i decide to use it as a spray. if possible, dunk your plants in the mix before having to use it as a spray.

ionized water kills mites by making them explode-

there is no immunity. the greenhouser is NOT spraying nutrients.

edit: last i knew avid wasn't FDA approved for any food crop in the US. who knew?

Mighty wash didn't do shit but make my wallet lighter, at least against broad mites.

Honestly I'm open to all suggestions but at this point I simply want to kill these bastards. I've lost too many plants and too much fucking time.

Besides that I'm sure many of you would be shocked at whats applied to your food supply but lets over react to what can be used safely.
