Average Autoflower Yields outdoors?

Any opinions would be welcome as to what are the rough approximate estimates of weight from growing various autoflower in strains outdoor. Now I know it varies depending upon environment conditions, medium etc. But I have White Widow, Skunk, Speed Haze and NLxBIG Bud. They will receive full sun all day. Here is a link to my video of my progress on my ladies and in my signature below. I am hoping to pull at least 3-4oz per plant for the average from a totAL of . So what do you think to those who have experience?

Granted I am by no means an expert as I am first time grower and the only auto I am running was a freebie I decided to throw in the tent. I don/t think you will be looking at a 3-4oz average per plant. Most of what I have seen, read, and heard about autos is that for best results you !) don't want to transplant them and 2) want to keep them on a light schedule of 18/6 or 20/4 for best results. This is obviously after you take into consideration all the factors you have listed. The only real positive I have heard about auto flowers is that when growing outside, in theory, they provide a shorty grow time helping ensure harvest before it starts to get to cold and/or the rainy season sets in. Again, not really experienced with autos, but just throwing out there things I have commonly seen about them.

I've got 6 years of learning experience and 2 years of growing experience but this is the first time I'm doing mostly autoflowers. Out of all 19, 3 are photoperiods. Blue lemon thai, herijuana jack 33 and another strain that I'm relying on for the weight.

my 1st grow was 1 oz / plant (auto amnesia gold / auto ak47
2nd grow is much better and i expect to get 2oz dry weight each plant now. it might be more.
But 3-4 oz is real far fetched. you need some serious equipment and especialy knowledge & feeling to get to the point that you can pull 3+ oz of an autoflower.

mine is under 250w hps tough, dunno about outdoor growing :) just pop the seeds and see ;)

Yes I agree. I'm relying on the suns power to do magic to my plant. My medium is very well blended with premium ingredients :D You know what sucks? Reading on seedbanks sites that you can yield 300g to a pound per plant OFF AN AUTOFLOWER. BS. I'm going to order a batch of regular seeds maybe feminized and grow a few more of those for real weight :)

If yield is the overall goal, obviously I'm assuming quality is right up there, it's always good to have fall back options imo.
Don't be too discouraged. Some people here are answering your question when they obviously never ran an auto outside. I don't run anything outside either so I'm not qualified to tell you correctly.
Maybe somebody thats actually run them outside will answer your question.
You make a very valid point, but one could also argue that with knowledge being shared from even the most experienced outdoor, auto grower doesn't insure quality results. However, in my personal situation I always try to be 100% upfront about the fact I am a first time grower, and my experience/lack there of when discussing any topic. However, I have very rarely seen the types of consistent results from autos that the OP was initially hoping for, and think it is always best whether an auto or a photo, to underestimate yields, rather then over estimate based on things such as a breeders advertising of a product.

In addition, based off of OP's previous grow journals, length of time here at RIU, and so on, I feel he has the experience to know better then to 100% intrust everything he is told. I hope he is able to reach his 3-4 oz per plant goal.

I do run them outside but I put them under lights at night. In a five gallon pot I pull a little over 2 ounces doing this. I dont put much effort into my autos though.

I use auto's for my indoor sunshine grows....typically get around 2 to 3 ounces per plant

Thanks everyone, I have my soil beefed up with plenty of amazing micronutrients and the best stuff that will keep them going good for their time. I carried everything to the woods last night in the pitch dark. 7 trips, 4 hours, tripped and fell and stumbled so many times lol. Thanks for the support and encouragement guys, youdabomb.Com

Actually, if done properly eg. absolute MINIMUM stress and using a yield heavy autoflowering strain, you could actually score pretty high. Definitely not the equivalent of a photoperiod strain in the same conditions, but I'd wager 1-3 maybe even 4 ounces, although that is pushing it.

But choose the best yielders mate. I grew two autoflowers and got 15g off of them, but their max yield was rated at 30g.

Good luck!

I get a oz per plant,of good solid buds then about another 7/14 grm of fluffy stuff,I never take anything of auto because every bit counts that 7/14 grm of each one adds up when it comes to beating hash from it,but I order 5 at a time every time I have a bit of spare cash so I have a good few going each summer,in a county where there sun you will get more, but in the uk it's not very sunny even in summer.

I'm hoping for at least 2oz now per plant. I'm heading to my spot right now to put them in theit places. A few will go in pots and the rest will go in the ground. The regular photoperiods go in the ground. :D

I ran 20 Buddah Seeds random Fem Autos outside directly in the ground with the native soil and some ammendments of my own and water saving crystals so I had to water less frequently. This was an experiment for me and the results werent bad. Out of 20 I started with I ended up with 18 at the end, 2 got dug up cause the critters found the ammendments under two of my ladies, dug the shit out of it and killed them. From those 18 The smallest one yielded me 11 grams dry and the biggest I got 2 and a half oz, with the majority ranging between 18 and 20 grams. So to answer your question yes you can get 2 to 3 oz off autos outside if you know what your doing and you use some good soil and care for them as if they were indoors. If your looking for high yield autos outside theres some new generation autos that will grow like monsters and give you more than 3 oz a plant outside. Strain is key with autos. Good Luck

Indoors it's possible, put them in a large pot, easyer,to keep the soil where you want it nutrient wise.i put 4 out yesterday in the garden, been hardening them off,for a week now there out there full stop,I like to use smart pots,But you have to use good size pots, that way the roots can come through the fabric pots into the surrounding ground,I have known known friends get 4/5 oz dry from big Buddhas magnum .But I ain't a fan of the strain taste wise, most of my autos are high in cbd.Too be honest I ain't been feeling,no where near has good health wise, has I do when I use high thc and a decent amount of cbd.harliquin, has been my favourite strain a late for my own and my wife's medical needs, but that ain't a auto .

If you are wanting 3/4 oz 3 been a min,if weather is good ,good sun light through out the day then go with this one great producer just not to my tasting but good high ,I do sometimes use it for oil though ,but it's been a while since I have done any work with it ,for sale great plant ,commercial wise,I have known it get to 4 ft,and a grower I met in Holland said that he was hitting 6 dry cured bud from it indoors, pretty hard to hide though has its gets very big,for a auto. But if you have a growing legal then we'll worth using ,I just talked my self into ordering some cheers for that pmsl lol.image.jpeg
