when I first started my acct on RIU, I used all bob marley avatars. he is a legend and a big influence on my life. huge influence. so I rocked bob for awhile.. then I started rocking BJ Penn avatars. he's a legend also, imo of course, and a local boy from HI that is known worldwide. I'm a huge BJ Penn fan. and he's cool as fuck.. then after Andy Irons died, I started rocking the "AI forever" emblem just so his memory is always remembered. AI was cool as fuck and a great guy. and an awesome surfer. greatest of all time, in my opinion of course. so that's the avatar I'm rocking right now, the "AI forever" avi. it's a good size too. I don't like teeny avatar pics
a majority of us fellow members use custom avatars and not the stock avatars that are supplied with RIU. so my question is, what's up with your avatar?.... is it an extension of yourself?.... does it have an inner meaning to yourself that you are trying to project to others?..... is it just some random picture you found on the web and thought it was cool?.... is it a picture that has personal ties to you?....are you just an avatar whore and switch it up every other week?....what made you decide on your avatar pic and why.
also, when you see other fellow members avatars, what does it make you think? like do you judge someone on their avatar? does some members avatar just make you cringe?.... or does it make you all happy inside?.... does it cross your mind when another user changes their avatar?...or do you not even notice?....does a persons avatar influence the way you think about that person?
