I use to. 600w MH. Got the best growth rates of any light I’ve tried especially in veg.

Buds were respectably dense, not LED dense but good.

Got just over a lb from 4 autos under that light.

Ive heard that blue light spectrum helps terpene production. Always smelt amazing under the MH in flower

The weed I grew under the old 400w ceramic metal halide bulbs by Philips was so much better than the LED stuff I grow now. But you can't beat LED efficiency when it comes to yields.

Absolutely! The next run I did with a gavita 1700e pro yielded 23ozs from 4 autos. First time having bud rot indoors as the buds were almost unnaturally dense?

Since I only grow for myself I’ve decided quality is better than quantity. And my LED decided to to break after 2 months of use lol

Also why I like the simplicity of HID lamps. Less to go wrong

Trying a DE 630w full spectrum CMH at the moment. Seems promising so far!DDEAD694-0A5E-4A09-A010-F754721EE0E7.jpeg

Wow gavita 1700 bar light. That's an expensive light to take a crap after 2 months! I'd be pissed and looking for a replacement or my money back!

Too right man. Was pissed off. Turns out the light was just too intense for my headroom and ability to heat the tent. I extract out the room and anything below 25-26c I started getting bad cal defs.

I swear you could hammer a nail in with some of the buds they were that dense lol

Why would it being an autoflower have any effect when using a metal halide vs a photoperiod? It will respond to the spectrum just like any other plant would.

I swear some people think autoflowers are some strange mythical creature with some of the questions they ask.
