I dislike auto's, wasted a lot of my time on them when I first started, not to mention the money. Took advice from a youtube video with Arjan "The biggest douche in the cannabis industry" Roskram or what ever in the fuck his name is. He pretty much guaranteed I will never buy one of his products or accept one of his products as a freebie with that little 5 minute clip. Well that and Flowerbomb Kush being a complete fucking lie, I kind of expected that one though.

There is an issue in this industry where people purposely misinform to push "the newest and best product you'll ever see" to make some quick money. What's worse is the waves of people who swear by all this bullshit as fact and continue pushing this garbage and cluttering the minds of newbs making this whole hobbie a lot more confusing then it needs to be. There's another issue not having any credible sources to call these people out on their bullshit, there is not one respectable cannabis publication that I know of that gets past the bullshit and advertising revenue and tells people actual facts, instead they push Greenhouse Seeds and Barneys Farm and Advanced nutrients articles that read like advertising.

If you're growing auto's indoors you are wasting your time and money, if you can't grow anything else outdoors due to the area you live then you gotta do what you gotta do, I'd just do photo's indoor if that was the case, and pretty much is for me.

Exactly, so much nonsense in this hobby. For instance, have a strain growing and wanted to see how it turns out.
This cat is basically poisoning his plants with at least 4 different lines, 6 additives, and teas on top of that. Before he flowered the plant, he gave a clone to a friend and was wondering why the friends clone was doing better. Well maybe he isn't running 1700ppms! My god the plant looked sad. Poor thing looked locked out. too much P and this was a pure indica going on 77 days!!!! Why? Because marketing, because lack of understanding of science, and because of a lack of patience.

Anyone growing autos indoors is a fuckin moron, youd be better off just flowering from ceed. or simply running plants in groups. Those thinking autos are as good as photoplants is about as funny as someone in a ford escort saying they could win a race against a Porche. Gives me a good laugh while exposes their naivety and inexperience.

^ 100% agree about wasting indoor space on autos. Back to the OP, the question was posted w/the hope there'd be some responses that recommended a specific auto that was worth starting outside in spring, to finish early summer, and get out of the way for a few regs to determine sex for the clones inside. In that circumstance, only an auto would be practical for that space at that time.

So, after all the noise, I've decided to just do the same as last year - toss all the accumulated freebie autos out there again, only this time just for decoration. :)

There may be some decent autos that may pass as regular, but there does seem to be something 'off' with an auto high.

Plus three ounces off two plants outdoors is as let down, it's not worse than indoors getting a quarter/half indoors, taking up 70+ days of space and resources.

Its just night and day the difference between autos and photo period plants.
I agree I would never waste time and space on them indoors. But for me, at that time, they made a nice bumper crop while the rest of my outdoor plants were still in veg. I put very little time into them. With a little more attention and slightly bigger pots I can see getting 2oz from them. The only other auto I've grown was Easy Ryder and was not impressed. There was something a little "off" with that strain. Paradise did something right when they developed Pandora. To each his own. I don't know if I would ever work with it again, justed wanted to answer the OP's question.

In my first grow I grew an afghan kush auto, and it was good but not great, and now that I am a more experienced grower I prefer not using them anymore.

The thing is, there's a ton of companies making and marketing them - someone certainly has to like them. OrageHaze can't possibly be buying them all.
Yeah a bunch of idiots are buying them lol, people who don't know how to grow weed..
Or maybe people who cannot be around for the entire process, like myself, due to working far away for weeks at a time. I would rather have my unlearned, mostly un caring wife, attempt at keeping my relatively easy auto's alive then to risk nice photo period plants to her apathy in my absence.

I have yet to read something as negative as TonightYou's posts on this forum. A bad read, and full of anger.

Who cares about "autos" ? Those who use them are lousy "growers" who expect a living plant to grow "automaticaly" by itself.

When I started I consulted experienced grower, his opinion was: let other idiots grow it, you can do better than that.

Autos that don't Suck ????

Good luck, look for a needle in a haystack. Lmao
Just look at the 'Likes'...
Like nature was waiting all this time for you, because plants can't just grow ""automaticaly"".
And I wouldn't bother with "experienced growers" who call this and that fellow grower an idiot because autos fit better for them.
How can you guys even hate a plant? Are you the prohibitors of autoflowering cannabis? Make it more illegal than photoperiod type? I bet you would.

Some of you failed before the idea of writing in this thread.

"Ban autoflowers! Only idiots who think plants grow by themselves grow them!"

^ Yeah...I thought we'd come to a concensus here. I've sampled 8; a couple looked fantastic. But w/o exception, the buzz was unsatisfactory. I've yet to see anyone post a preference for autos unless they were bound by circumstances to be the only option.

Until someone says they run auto-anything over the photo version for smoking pleasure, then what's there to argue about?

I thought so too. I always wonder when people have an affinity for autos if they've ever had the pleasure of smoking truly grade A ganja. It's as if they have some emotional attachment to it. I find them to be interesting as a plant, but beyond the novelty of flowering regardless of light, they are of sub par quality and of little use to those seeking the drug variant

they are a fun thing to do on the side but unless your planting them outdoors to harvest before the choppers start looking for it id go with photos. that way you can find great genetics and clone it.
