I don't like the idea of light movers. Light movers save energy but also are not fully utilizing the space.. You could use multiple lights... 3 lights instead of 1... or at least 2

lets say you hit 1 gpw with the light mover and .5 gpw with the fixed lights... that will be 50% more yield with the fixed lights but 300% increase in energy used from light. Going from 20 bucks per month for the 400w 12 hours a day to 60 bucks per month. 400 grams from the light mover with 400w to 600 grams from 1200w..... 400 vs 600 is all that is important... not to mention the 1200w bud will be of higher quality as it received more light.

Let me ask you is the extra 200grams worth the extra 40 bucks? hell ya! don't go cheap on electric... if you don't give enough light to the plants the quality will be lower too....

Fixed lights are much more dependable and steady.

In conclusion, light movers will have improved yield per watt but less yield than what could have been possible. Utilize your space.. don't be cheap. If you want to save energy get a quality LED panel or DIY LED..

I had one over 10 years ago, it broke, so rather than fix this very expensive item, I sold it and bought 2 new HPS 600w lites instead and am very pleased I sold the fucking pain in the ass thing>>>> before I sold it I had resorted to using the great Dutch LEAN method of lighting, creating fantastic stretch but the colas all looked like big dicks

Movers ain't that popular now, since the price of HPS/Mh generally have fallen, perhaps competing with LED's, mover or more lights I'd go as above with more lights

Jorge Cervantas wrote up some cool stuff on avoiding these movers which is what I followed "Dutch LEAN method of lighting" in which the HPS lights were turned off on one side and one on the other side of the 12x12 room, created some cool stretched bud, and cut the power bill in half ...lol
