Autoflowering, Good or Bad ?

This is more of a question than a problem, as i'm trying to access the pro's and con's, otheir peoples experiences are of interest !

I know auto responds to age rather than light cycler, but can't decide if it's a good thing as you don't keep as much control over the vegative stage and can't decide when you're happy to take the plant into flower. Which could affect the overall amount of yield,,

What's you're opinion ?

Pro's: great for a begginer, able to recieve 24 hours light constantly, less time fussing with things.

Con's: Less Yeild, Less Control over growth, More chance of hermie.

IMO: I think they're not worth it, you'll get less bud & you can't control how big you want your plants.. i like to be able to veg them until i like how big they are.. and then when i feel they're ready i set them into flowering. :)

The reason why I opted for auto is that I'm a beginner, but have become aware of the con's since planting, I don't think I'll use auto for my next grow, I've started to think it takes some of the pleasure out of the grow, the seeds I'm using are all feminised is that still a possibility of having problems with hermie's

I grow a table full of AK 47 autos under 20/4 in my veg room thus optimizing the light hours they yield between 25-40 grams per plant I put two seeds in every pot(2gal) they show their sex @ about 2wks or the 3rd set of leaves pluck out the males transplant double females as needed and there you go 2months after they sprout you have bud the plants grow about 20 inches high and the smoke is good auto flowering plants definitely have their place -an early outdoor crop before anyone is looking if you plant may 1st you should be harvesting first week in july I also make my own seeds cloning is not practical( with the auto flowering strains I've worked with) 2 plants a male and female will give you hundreds of seeds - germinate directly in pots the paper towel trip is to hard on this strain and I've had high mortality trying to germinate this way in pots the success is nearly 100% good luck
