It isnt vital with auto flowering strains to change the type of light. Using the relevant type for each growth stage will probably optimise your yield, but they will still grow to completion under any spectrum.Hi guys

yeah its soil with about 25% additional perlite added, i guess when and how much for any extra nutes would be a start, thx.

Got one of each growing right now. Both are about 3 inches tall. Got them in soil/pro mix under the sun using fox farm nutes and montys joy juice.Just ordered some of Nirvana's AF Northern Lights and their Auto Blue Mystic as well. Anybody worked at all with these?
Pretty amped!!... this is my first grow.

I also have some nirvana N.L's going about 18 days from sprout under T-5 and looking perrdy good- 1st grow so im learning as i go. ? for the experienced, Im not sure of when to switch from the T-5 to HID lighting. I have 600w MH/HPS and was planning on using the HPS bulb b/c there is not veggin phase. Or would the MH be a better choice? Also how high should either of those be from the top of the plants? I got some in Pro-Mix soil and a couple in a FFof+Pro-Mix mixture just to kinda see the difference. Any advice would be aweosme- happy growing!

I wanted some advice and knowledge on the Lowryder #2 that I am growing right now. It is in day 21, 20 in the pic, and has started flowering today but is still fairly short...6inches maybe.
Isn't it too soon for flowering? And wont its height significantly decrease bud production? Is it going to grow much taller when flowering? I want it to be at least 12 inches. If it stays at this height its not gonna produce enough bud!

what about trimming the big fan leaves? I just think they must be quite necessary at this stage, but there are also a lot of little growing leavesHEY

use the hps for flowering. and m/h in veg. if you light are ventalated. then keep them about 2-3 inchest from plants. heres a good rule to go by. lower your light, and after a bit feel the top leaves, if they are warm raise a bit if they are cool then your just right. leaves should always be cool and warm and your mix should be fine.

you cant controll when they are going to flower hence auto flower. some autos just come out small. i did 3 aks and two were nice size the other wasnt any bigger than a cigeret light. that a hybred for yaHEY

fuck. thing is my lowryder is bushy as hell and really leafy. Just short. With a littlebit of internode space it would be the perfect plant....are they suppsoed to grow during flowering...and has yuorplant started blooming?

What grow medium will you be using?
Ive got three auto ak47's growing at the moment in canna terra pro soil. I didnt give them any nutes for the first 16 days and then started giving them bloom nutes as soon as they showed sex. Ive had a few minor issues though that look like a slight nitrogen deficiency, so my suggestion would be no nutes for the first week, then a very mild dose of growbig, then alternate feedings of the bloom and grow big after its shown sex for a week or two, switching to only the bloom nutes for the last few feeds before the flush prior to harvest.

Should probably have mentioned that mine are auto ak-47's from lowlife, which grow bigger than lowryders. But yeah, they will grow upwards during flowering. The ak's seem to start flowering earlier than lowryders, mine started on day 16 - from that point my plants have shot up, the tallest one (22 inches) has probably doubled in height from day 16.

what are you growing in,hydro or soil. if soil then just skip the veg nutes and use nutes in flower stage.use nutes every other or every 3rd watering. for weeks 3,4,5, then ph adjusted water weeks 6,and 7 then you should be good
