hey got a question, is it possible to FIM , top, or LST a autoflower? if yes to any of those, which would be the most effective.

yeah, but once they are completely dead they fall off on their own.
Some of mine didnt. The ones under the buds as they swelled, they were trapped in after they died. I removed them when examining my plants, if I hadnt then they would have decayed whilst still in contact with the bud.

Id go for lst - im sure a post in the previous couple of pages of this thread describes someone lst'ing an auto flower plant successfully. My reason for suggesting lst over the other two suggestions is that it doesn't actually remove anything, or - if done correctly - damage the plant in any way. Both these things would, in my opinion be bad in a plant with a limited life length.

*edit - found this post from a couple of pages back -
LST your autos, you will be glad you did, the lower branches will jump right up, I noticed a big difference quickly with the under growth. I just picked a spot som what high on the plant and pulled it down, in a few hours they always perk right back up like nothing ever happened.
:peace:

thanks for filling in bigby that info was spot on. i have noticed that because they are dead they have no immunity to these problems like a live plant would.and with their increased sugar content ffrom being dried out they seem to be a haven for mold spores to incubate. if left unchecked you might just walk in one day to find your best colas have turned to sloppy mush.thats why you should always remove dead leaves.

Yeah Im sure a lot of people do that, its a basic method. The top usually finishes first indoors or outdoors. I know outdoors you can cut your top and let some of the lower growth go several more weeks if weather permits and you can greatly increase your yield by doing so.

i'd chop! it's better than loosing the whole plant.
i was interested in getting some purple jems myself, what conditions caused the mold? is it outdoors?

yeah get rid of them, you don't want to ruin your other plants

maybe having some decent smoke drying will make waiting for the others a bit easier
